I like it....

Needed to replace the 6,000 BTU window a/c unit we'd had for over 5 years. We purchased the Frigidaire because it met our needs, and was an almost an exact match to the old one, including installation. It was priced in line with what we anticipated. So far it's met or exceeded performance expectations. I like the "clean air" feature that provides ionization for additional dust and pollen removal. The air flow is easy to direct with almost infinitely variable directional control. The air volume moved meets or exceeds expectations, noise level is less than expected.

Good but not great

We bought 2 of these about 2 months ago. Was told they were very quiet and run great. Very noisy in my opinion and my rooms are not as cool as I would like.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Also, I recommend checking your Owner's Manual (page 4) to make sure that the sounds that you're hearing are not part of the A/C's normal operation. I bought this unit for a porch I had enclosed and it has performed well. My main complaint it that the thermostat is not accurate so I have to set it 5-10F lower than the actual temperature for it to cool the way I would like. Example: I want the room to be 80F I have to set it at 75F or lower so that the compressor will turn on when the room rises to 80F.

Cost Performance Model

Great performance for the price and excellent hardware included for mounting. Only issue is various vibration noises during actual operation, which maybe normal but for persons like myself with delicate hearing it can be irritable.

It cools well, a little noisy

I bought this at the beginning of a heat wave and it cooled off the living room wonderfully. Easy to install, the remote is great and the unit cools off the room in a hurry.
