Noisy and rattles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always used Frigidaire and have one in our bedroom and had to replace our unit in the living room which we had to replace because one day it just didn't get cold anymore & just blew out air as if on fan mode. We read the reviews it was noisy but the older model wasn't available so we had to order this new model. It works just the same as the old one but it rattles and very loudly so we constantly have to adjust the vent but it's only a temporary fix. It's quite annoying. I love Frigidaire but not this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unfortunate sounds, but cool air

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the reasons we got rid of our last bedroom AC (an earlier frigidaire) was the disturbing rattling sounds that the filter made when the AC was running -- that didn't make for a peaceful sleeping experience. (I chose this one because it seemed similar to the excellent 8000 btu version we've had in the kitchen/living room.) But from day one it's been making unfortunate noises as well. It sounds like water swishing around inside -- something I've never heard in an AC. Not as disturbing as the rattling, but unfortunate just the same.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit does well as cooling goes. However, this is only a smaller unit of the same model family as the 8k and 10k units. Unlike the bigger models, this one does not have the remote temperature control. On those models, the remote is set on the opposite side of the room and is the auto temp control. Bottom line is better room temp control.
