Cools well but is noisy when compressor starts. It also arrived with two dents in it. And, from time to time, it simply shuts off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, Barbara Ruchala- thanks for sharing your experience with us. I recommend checking your Owner's Manual (page 4) to make sure that the sounds that you're hearing are not part of the A/C's normal operation. The manual can also be located on our website at ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Edison/16120300A00412en.pdf. Also, I understand that the A/C arrived with dents. Have you reached out to your dealer about this issue? Please feel free to reconnect with us directly should you feel that the dents will affect your cooling performance or have any other questions or concerns. Courtney
I bought this because I am from San Francisco, and am not used to humidity or excessive heat at all. I needed something for my bedroom that would help me sleep at night, and also keep me cool during the day. For the price, its perfect! It makes some noise, but I sleep with it on every night and honestly don't notice it. It cools down my 10ft. x 10ft. bedroom down very quickly, and is great at keeping it cool. I love having the remote because if I wake up in the middle of the night having set it too cool, or not cool enough, I can adjust it without getting out of bed! This is my first air conditioner, and I am so genuinely happy with it.
I bought this unit right as the summer heat hit and I don't know where I'd be without it. I've gone two summers in NYC without air, and his year I finally bucked up and bought a unit. I chose Frigidaire because it's a name I trust, and this unit is no exception. It cools the room very quickly and isn't loud as far as air conditioners go. It also has a great Econ feature that keeps the set temperature without running the unit constantly. I like that it has the added filters too for dust and allergens. My only complaint is it got a little banged up in shipping, but it's very easy to install. Overall, very happy.
Just replaced a 13 year old unit that was extremely noisy, and had pretty much stopped cooling. Took several hours to clear a path in my workshop to take out the old one, and put this one in. It was very hot out today, and within 2 hours, my workshop had become very comfortable. Not only that, but this one uses a bit more than hlaf the amount of electricity that the old unit did, so I can now run the AC in th bedroom at the same time, where before it was one, or the other.
Needed to replace the 6,000 BTU window a/c unit we'd had for over 5 years. We purchased the Frigidaire because it met our needs, and was an almost an exact match to the old one, including installation. It was priced in line with what we anticipated. So far it's met or exceeded performance expectations. I like the "clean air" feature that provides ionization for additional dust and pollen removal. The air flow is easy to direct with almost infinitely variable directional control. The air volume moved meets or exceeds expectations, noise level is less than expected.
I needed to replace my 14 year old window A/C unit. The FFRE0633S1 is Energy Star rated, has an electronic air filter, and a good price. Installation was easy and fast. Very happy with it.
I bought this product about a month ago and have been using it almost non-stop since. For installing it has these great insulation panels that slip into the side extensions. I was surprised to see it also has a clean air feature you can turn on to remove pollen and dust from the air! It keeps my studio apt nice and cool and it doesn't have to run all the time either. Thankfully it's quiet too.
