[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brand new but is 60° as low as it can go? Manual says 60-90, I would not have purchased this if it said on the box only goes as low as 60! Am I doing something wrong?
Response from frigidaire.comBy Ruth, Online Outreach Specialist, June 14, 2017
Oops! Thank you for submitting your room air conditioner review, Greenhill. You are not doing anything wrong. The temperature setting cannot be adjusted above or below the control range of 60°F and 90°F. This is the standard temperature control range for room air conditioners. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°- 20°F lower than the intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. Should you have any questions, please reconnect with us directly by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 877-435-3287. We are here for you. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Great AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great unit. My last AC was a 5000 BTU with knobs and didn't have nearly as many features as this one and cost the same amount. I like being able to set the temperature that I want the room to be.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have 2 units installed in my living room on the 2 windows but it doesn't cool the room enough. i had set it on eco at 72 degrees, it won't turn on when my room temp is already 77 degrees. and my electric bill went up too.

Thank you for taking the time to share your A/C experience, patout. Both A/Cs running at the same time will not cool your living room properly. They both will cause your energy bill to go up due to them both attempting to cool the area. As one of the units is operating, the other will attempt to run as well, which will cause either of the units to turn on/off constantly. I recommend removing one of the A/C's for a better cooling performance and less energy usage. I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reconnect with us directly at 1-888-203-1389; Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 6pm EST should you have any other questions. Courtney

Buy the Frigidaire 5,000 BTU Instead

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two Frigidaire window air conditioners over a month ago. This 6,000 BTU has all the bells and whistles but the 5,000 BTU does a better job. Save your money and go with the 5,000 BTU. The smaller one is a workhorse!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased to replace an older , but still working A.C. This is noisier, and just as heavy as the old one. We were hoping for a lighter weight. It is cooling pretty well, so that's why we bought. It. Just disappointed at the weight and sound. You know, it wouldn't hurt if you put handles on it, to make it easier to move and install!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it recently. It came with all the parts and accessories that required for installation. It was easy and quick to setup. I bought it after considering one year warrantee feature along with 5 years compressor warranty if sealed, compare to all other brands offering 1 year warranty only. Highly recommended.
