It's cooler, but...

We purchased this model to cool our bedroom overnight but found the timer won't turn it on at 9pm every night.. You have to manually turn it on, and the timer can turn it off x hours later if you desire.
The turn on process means you have to turn it on and then set the mode, since the default is energy saving mode where it stops the fan after it cools down and starts it up every 10 minutes to see if it needs more cooling. Not wanting to hear it cut on and off all night, we have to flip the fan on continuous.
With two adults sleeping in the room, the %RH can go up 10-12% overnight. When you wake up, it is cool, but clammy. I have NEVER seen any water drip out of this air conditioner. Looking down in the condenser side, it is clean and dry, and I can't see the evaporator side to see if there is a puddle. There are no drains visible on the drip pan / bottom of the unit. I suspect the fan is supposed to splash condensate on the condenser to cool it but I've never seen moisture there.
We appreciate the constant fan noise since it masks road noises overnight, but with it would dehumidify the room in the process.
It does cool the room, but it's not drier, and comfortable.
It is saving $$$ on the power bills since we don't have to cool the whole house down to sleeping temperatures, but the Florida humidity is apparently too much for this little unit.
