Battery charging is bad. Why can I only get 10 hours of use, when fully charged, and when on 50% brightness and always on display?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AFIB & IHRN FEATURES ARE USELESS - Watch is a toy!
on December 10, 2025
Posted by: Anonymous
DO NOT BUT THIS WATCH if your purpose is to test for AFIB using Samsung's Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) "feature". Be aware that, if you even locate it, at the top of a webpage the feature is described as periodically measuring your heart rate and "notifies you to take an ECG if it detects an irregular rhythm suggestive of atrial fibrillation". Buried further down the page and after you download their APP you will receive clarifying descriptions indicating: "When the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature is on, your Galaxy Watch will check your pulse a few times a day when you’re still. Your Watch and phone will notify you if your Watch detects 1 hour of an irregular rhythm that suggests atrial fibrillation."
What does "a few times a day when you are still" mean? Does it only check your pulse twice, three times, four times? Does that mean if I'm still it MAY check my pulse. And then only if you are in AFIB for 1 hour! What needs to be still - your whole body? Your arm? Do I need to be still for 1 hour for any checking, which MAY happen? Effectively, these parameters render this watch useless for the purpose of catching an episode of AFIB.
I only discovered this absurdity after downloading the IHRN App. I then reached out to Samsung and spent over 2 hours with customer support to request a return with the final resolution being that someone from their Developer Team will get back to me in 2 - 3 business days. I'm still waiting.

Good day Objective Honest Reviews, Thanks for sharing your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. Your candor and critiques provide valuable insights that will assist us with improving our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature utilizes your Galaxy Watch's sensor to passively check your heart rhythm in the background (when still) for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib), notifying you if it detects over an hour of irregular patterns and prompting you to take a more accurate on-demand ECG through the Samsung Health Monitor app for confirmation, aiming to provide early awareness of this common heart condition. If you wish, you're able to initiate on-demand ECGs anytime. Here's how: 1. From Samsung Health Monitor, tap ECG. 2. Rest your finger lightly on the Home button to begin the ECG. • After a moment, your ECG is displayed on the screen. 3. Tap Add to add any symptoms you are experiencing. 4. Tap Done when you are finished. Please feel free to review the resources shared below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing with your feature. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterward if you have any questions or if you would like further assistance. We're always happy to listen and work toward a better experience for our customers. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

Terrible watch.

I got this watch mostly for running. It misses steps, from watch to Samsung app it is off by a few thousand steps, also I've ran a few half marathons, but according to the watch I haven't. All of the other features are pretty good, but I definitely would think twice, and go garmin.

Hi there None, Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. Your feedback allows us to continue to strive in providing the best products with superior functionality on the market to our customers while improving performance and functionality improvements. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. Your Samsung smart watch automatically tracks the number of steps you've taken while wearing it. There are different factors that can cause the watch's step count to be inaccurate. However, you may need to verify how your steps are being counted by Samsung Health. The accuracy of the watch's step measurement can be affected by the following factors: * Make sure your watch and the Samsung Health app are using the latest software. * Environmental and skin conditions may affect how well the steps are recorded. * Steps are not counted when there is no hand movement in the exercise. For example, steps may not be recorded when pushing a lawn mower or cart because your hands are not moving. The watch is intended to calculate real step counts while walking. * Walk naturally without looking at the watch or your shoulders, elbow and wrist being raised. When you walk looking at the watch, the accelerometer will not properly measure your steps taken, distance traveled, or even calories burned. * The step count may not increase immediately when walking or exercising due to the step count algorithm. When the algorithm detects 10 continuous steps, the algorithm starts to count your steps taken and updates the step count. * You may experience a brief delay before the Steps app displays your latest step count. There may also be a delay before the Goal pop-up window appears. * If you use the steps tracker while traveling by car or train, vibration may affect your step count. Please feel free to review, "Inaccurate steps on your Samsung smart watch" to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing with your feature. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterward if you would like any further assistance. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra

Good day Sun00, thank you for finding the time to share your thoughts with us about your experience with the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. We value your honesty as we improve the design and functionality of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The Galaxy Watch8 is thinner and has a brighter 3,000-nit display compared to the Watch 7, which has a 2,000-nit display. Some other key differences between these two devices includes the Watch8's new case design with a flatter back, a proprietary band connection system, and the inclusion of new AI-driven health features like a running coach and antioxidant index measurement. Absolutely thrilled to have this watch
on November 17, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy wearing and using my galaxy watch 8! Its so easy to setup and use to make payments at stores and read all info regarding my health including sleep. I really enjoy all the options for face skins and tiles and apps. I use the galaxy Ai a lot and will ask it to make calls and send texts when away from my phone at work or home. Its east to use along side my galaxy buds 3 pro and just a joy to have. I regret sleeping on the galaxy watches for this long. But no more! I'm engulfed in The samsung ecosystem now and am very very pleased with my watch. The battery last all day with all high specs and everything connected. The charge only takes about 3o minutes which is long enough for my shower. This galaxy watch 8 and the galaxy Ai have integrated flawlessly in my everyday life. As this is coming from someone who has never had this kind of tech in my life. I'm sold out!!!
I loved and recomended at 100%, before use thecwacht 7, and swicht at new 8.
I would recommend this to a friend!
