After using my watch for several days I have found that it's very reliable and convenient. I have been able to track my sleep patterns and watch my heart rate that always runs high. So I am very glad I bought this watch and will continue using it for the foreseeable future.

Great until this update. Now it sucks

I absolutely loved my Galaxy watch up until the last update. They "improved" it so much I'm about to take it off and throw it in the trash! Features I use and need won't come up; my screen swipe functions don't work. And every time it comes on I get a screen to set up Gemini, even though I have supposedly turned it off on my phone app. I do NOT want Gemini on my watch. There is so much pushy, obnoxious bloatware! The watch I used to like so much is a piece of crap now.

Coming from an S3 watch to the S8 im disappointed that the battery doesn't last 3 days when my S3 lasted 5 days... also tried to use my S3 on my new S26 phone and it couldn't connect 😕. Just don't be surprised..

Galaxy AI coming to a wrist near you!

This device, along with my recently purchased Samsung S26 Ultra, make a powerful Galaxy AI combination with the Samsung Health app. The trusty Galaxy Watch 8 on my wrist does so many things, too many to list here, and I use it pretty much all day. At night I use the Sleep score and Energy score tracking and review those in the morning. These are very in-depth reports that you get 24/7. I fire up the Walking program with GPS and take a brisk 25 minute walk in the early AM. Around midday I hit the gym and use both the Weight machines program for a 40 minute weight session, then follow that with 25 minutes of cardio using the Bike indoor program. Yet another cool feature is I can use the NFC to connect via Wi-Fi to my gym’s fitness bike, and it tracks the cadence RPM, MPH, pulse rate, average heart rate, distance, power, and 1 mile split times and speed, heart rate zones, all recorded to the Samsung Health app. Then after the gym I can keep track of my total steps, current weather and forecast, and outdoor UV. Not to mention all the notifications and apps you can pick and choose to receive. You can get text messages, phone calls, email, even talk to Gemini via the built-in speaker (so you have Galaxy AI on your wrist!).
