I upgraded to the Watch 8 from the Watch 5 primarily for the additional health monitoring available. So far, I am very happy with this watch as the battery lasts longer and I have more insights as to my health.

I love all the features of this watch with one exception, the battery life. I have done everything that I can think of to extend it and I still cannot get more than 36 hours off of a full charge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started with the Galaxy Active to watch and at first it was kind of strange because I hadn't worn a watch in a really really long time but eventually I got used to the idea that I could leave my phone on my nightstand and go down to my kitchen and receive messages or notifications from my phone that were important or needed my attention right away and I could answer them from my watch if I needed to without having to run up and grab my phone while I was filling up my drink but that version was a Bluetooth one so when I walk my dogs and left my phone inside or left my house and left my phone I didn't have any connectivity to it anymore and it was just a watch so I switched to the active for LTE and it was a game changer I will never go back to the Bluetooth version only I love the fact that I could leave with my watch on my phone at home and I can still pay for things that registers and get my messages and get phone calls and the major things I need to know or see are there if I want them to be I now have the eight and it was a different design at first I wasn't sure about it but I actually love it and now how the band's Hook is so much nicer than those little pins it's easier but I stick with a black with Rainbow Band the exact same one at all times because it's me so I got one for every single Watch so far luckily they kept making it for each one and it completes me
