I have been using smartwatches since the original Pebble came out. After a few of those I move into the Withings because of the long battery life, but I was missing the capabilities of modern full fledged smartwatches. After a few weeks with the 40mm Watch 8 I can say it is very nice having a more powerful smartwatch. Being able to pay from my watch, get full notifications and access to Google Gemini all without pulling out my phone has been great. One thing to note is that battery life is about one day so you need to find a charging schedule that works for you in my case because I wear it at night I charge a little digin my shower and top it off at my desk in the office. Overall very please with the watch.
I love the watch. Its light, stylish and has a great feature set. Comfortable enough to wear while sleeping as well as exercising. The display is easily customized and there are so many styles and colors of bands to match just about any personal or professional outfit. I really love the health tracking and monitoring. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, I only docked for 2 main reasons - 1) I'm not particularly fond of the square body, round face look. I'd prefer the screen shape to match the body, but that is just my personal preference. 2) The battery life was good, but not quite as good as I was hoping compared to my galaxy watch 3 classic. I did have all the sensors active so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Even so I could easily go a day and a half (Day-night-Day) between charging. I would suggest putting it on teh charger when you take a shower, not just to protect it from water and soap residue, but doing so you will always have sufficient power. Useful purchase for sure!

It's a very good device. It has a battery that lasts long enough, and the AI-regulated power management helps. However, if you're looking for a battery you don't have to worry about charging daily (every two days if you activate battery saver mode), check out the Galaxy Watch Ultra or the Galaxy Watch Classic. It bothers me that It bothers me that there are two apps to do the same thing, but that can be fixed with a software update. The gestures are a bit complicated to execute, so one or two sensors are somewhat slow, although I'm not sure if these gestures work better with the Galaxy Ring. The screen is simply beautiful; there's nothing to improve in that regard. I would recommend this watch more for people who don't go out much or who already have a very specific routine, like going for occasional runs or going to the gym. Connectivity is quite smooth if you have devices from the same brand, although I don't have One UI 8 for personal reasons, it works excellently with One UI 7 (based on my experience with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series). I love how easily they connect to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro without having to disconnect the phone first. Samsung's modes and routines work better, however, they still glitch occasionally, although that might be due to their configuration. As for customization... well, there are a few things that could be improved, and I'd like the icons to be a bit larger.

Meh galaxy 8

Same old watch with a different label on it. No way to really make it your own and style it. It's still uncomfortable. The bottom is domed so it's uncomfortable. The band makes you sweaty and keeps moisture there. Same thing after washing hands. Battery is half done before end of the day even tho I'm not using text or calling. What IRKs me to no end it the lack of accessories. No official licensed merch like bands or bumpers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The watch is comfortable and attractive without being gawky. The health functions are excellent, and the sleep analysis is great. The battery lasts for 2 days or more and charges quickly.
Granted I upgraded from an old fitbit, but this watch does what it advertises to do. It's comfy to wear all the time, and has some neat health tracking features.
