[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been waiting years for the Galaxy watch to have the ability to be a standalone. So far I love it. I haven't used all the features yet but I plan to. I hope it has some Galaxy AI features that I can explore.

The battery only lasts a day when you have continuous monitoring on. I would still buy this watch again. Can't wait to buy the galaxy S26 too

The new Galaxy Watch 8 is very similar to the last watch except for the way to access different apps or tiles. The watch face is very touchy and moves fast when trying to locate specific information such as number of steps walked. I have to remember to go very slow with the rotational dial and use a very light touch. The best improvement is the band. There's no longer to two thin straps supporting the band. With this watch, the band slides into the opposite side of the band and is neatly tucked away.
I would recommend this to a friend!
