The new band allows much better ability to keep the watch from sliding up and down, therefore getting much more accurate health readings.

The fit and finish feels much more premium than the past model I had. The customizability of each screen on the watch is awesome and can allow for a simple or very complex UI. The fabric band I got with it has been the most comfortable watch band I've have...While I would like to see a more robust band design that could use magnets or something, the Velcro works pretty well, or at least has short term.

Great looking, weak speaker

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 46mm is a great looking watch with 4g lte. My biggest complaint is the weak speaker. My Samsung watch 4 has a louder and clearer speaker. Other than that, I love how easy it is to switch bands and the overall look of the watch.
