[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Samsung watch 8 and it jus keeps surpassing the prior device. If your into technology as I am today then having the AI on your watch is something you most definitely need to look into. I cant start to describe how awesome and freaking amazing having AI on any or ALL of Your devices it really is. JUST GO AND GET IT ALL I NEED SAY
I love the new Galaxy Watch8 44Mm Silver Wifi/Bluetooth , only thing is the strap is too short , I'm using the last hole on the strap, hope I can find replacement , otherwise its 5 stars
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the watch4 for a bunch of years and really liked it but it started slowing down toward the end. The watch8 is a step up. Great features, especially with the health stuff, and great battery. Don't really use Galaxy AI much but when I have its been good.
This is my 3rd in line of Galaxy Fitness products. Started with Gear Fit2, to Galaxy Watch 6, now Watch 8. What I noticed immediately is that this watch is user-friendly for runners and overall fitness.
I am also able to compare GPS accuracy with other devices, and there is a significant improvement from the Watch 6. That was something I hoped for since I like the Galaxy Watch UI, but the GPS was way off on the Watch 6. I have been able to compare 3 GPS devices & Google Earth maps to see the differences. The Watch 8 is much closer.
On a 4.5-mile jog on bike paths, the difference is .03 miles to .04 miles (always long), compared to the accurate GPS. That is just 200 ft and just a few seconds in pace figures. Step counts are also very close.
When setting up the watch, it "noticed" I ran and suggested a watch face which was perfect for the data it shows, one being VO2 max. So that made setup very quick. The two devices that provide me with VO2 estimates are now giving me almost identical values, even though the manufacturers are different. That was very reassuring to use a baseline to assess current VO2 status.
Not tested and only an impression the battery life seems better I do not use the "always on feature" and so far either able to exercise or sleep with sufficient battery for each session This was not the case with the Galaxy 6.
After a few nights the sleep records seem reasonable I am one whose sleep latency is about 5 minutes, and Watch 6 regularly missed my first 90-minute cycle With the Watch 8, it has only done that once or twice Thus I now wear it to sleep.
Many of the new health features I have tried but see them as novelties Most of the smart features like home automation all work and was a seemless transition from Watch 6 I do have a Samsung Tablet and ZFlip6 so maybe that makes it easier for setup All that was nearly automatic.
One thing I have to add is the Samsung watches (6 & 8) do not irritate my skin like my fitness tracker I believe it is because the back of the watch is more curved at the sensor and must allow for some pressure relief on the skin.
In summary, the Watch 8 has elevated its game on the health-fitness side This is what I was hoping for and my reason to upgrade I really no longer need to use my fitness tracker which was another goal due to skin irritation So far the Watch 8 is hitting all the butttons Like all smartwatches, battery life is not great but one get's used to it.
