I find it a very useful tool if you want to measure the quality of your workouts as well as keep a review of your sleep and general condition. The size is perfect. I love it.
I upgraded from the Samsung watch 1 to 8 (40mm). So I had high expectations for the new features. The step count is extremly incorrect. When I wear it during the night I wake up with 100 steps than I tested it, the watch when I make 10k steps roughly adds 2-4k steps to much. The watch is just too sensitive, the old watch 8 generations ago was more accurate. Also the battery is also emptier more quickly than my old watch, like it often just lasts 1 day. There are some cool new functions like the body composition scanning and I like the Google maps features but I just expected much more. The design is also lacking, I do not understand why only the classic watches with 44mm have the little wheel around the screen. I would have loved to have that too for the 40mm watches, the 44mm are usually bought by mean and I think a smaller female version in 40mm would have been really nice

Howdy Kira, Thanks for reaching out to share your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. Your constructive feedback allows us to make improvements on our product line to better suit the needs of our customers. Your Samsung smart watch automatically tracks the number of steps you've taken while wearing it. There are different factors that can cause the watch's step count to be inaccurate. The accuracy of your watch's step measurement can be affected by the following factors: * Make sure your watch and the Samsung Health app are using the latest software. * Environmental and skin conditions may affect how well the steps are recorded. * Steps are not counted when there is no hand movement in the exercise. For example, steps may not be recorded when pushing a lawn mower or cart because your hands are not moving. The watch is intended to calculate real step counts while walking. * Walk naturally without looking at the watch or your shoulders, elbow and wrist being raised. When you walk looking at the watch, the accelerometer will not properly measure your steps taken, distance traveled, or even calories burned. * The step count may not increase immediately when walking or exercising due to the step count algorithm. When the algorithm detects 10 continuous steps, the algorithm starts to count your steps taken and updates the step count. * You may experience a brief delay before the Steps app displays your latest step count. There may also be a delay before the Goal pop-up window appears. * If you use the steps tracker while traveling by car or train, vibration may affect your step count. The Galaxy Watch8 40mm model offers a 325mAh battery while the 44mm model offers a 435mAh battery. Both options offer up to 30 hours of use in Always On Display (AOD) mode. Please take a moment to review, "Reduced battery life on your Samsung smart watch" to see what factors, if any, may be impacting the life of your device. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic has been designed for users wanting a premium yet traditional look, whereas the Galaxy Watch8 has been designed for comfort and value. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have Galaxy watch active which did not work when I upgrade my phone to s22 ultra. I gave it to my niece and bought the galaxy watch 7 which unfortunately has a so-so battery life. I then traded this when the new Galxy watch 8 came out. Superb battery life even with the bigger screen. I even use remote and after market straps on this to match my attire.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my watch 8 as a birthday present. It is the best present! I'm starting to work out so it is helping me to track from my pulse to my sleep patterns. Not to mention messages, notifications, calls. It even tells me to get up and move around! I'm loving it and I haven't even play with all of its features, but by far it's its perfect for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to this watch to replace my Watch 7 for everyday use. It is great, but the only complaint I have is that I had to buy all new watch bands. The watch uses a specific clip, so I couldn't use any of my old bands.
The need to recharge so often. My cheapo watch only had to be charged every ten days. Haven't figured out reportng system
