I was really excited for the opportunity to test this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. We have a cat (domestic, middle aged) who has accidents and gets sick on our carpet and a toddler who makes pretty bad messes on our carpet as well. I was in need of a good carpet cleaner. These are my thoughts based off my experience: -I have had my Bissell TurboClean PowerBrush for about 2 months now and have used it approximately 6 times. It functioned similarly each time I've used it. -Assembly and maintenance are extremely easy with this machine, as well as portability, as its pretty lightweight. I have found it easy to carry up and down stairs and refill/clean it out. -It deep cleans and removes general staining pretty well, but if you have a particularly pigmented stain, you may want to use Bissell's pretreatment before deep cleaning with the PowerBrush. -If used slowly and correctly, this will leave your carpets lightly damp and they have dried in just several hours for me. -Two main disadvantages: 1. This machine will not vacuum hair/dust/dirt up, just fluid. So if you haven't vacuumed in a few days, wet clumps of hair/dust accumulate around the treated area that you have to pick up after cleaning. 2. The replacement cleaning fluid (Bissell brand) is somewhat pricey. Have not tried using another brand's cleaning fluid in this machine. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this product, as it has removed some pretty serious stains well and left a clean, nice smelling carpet afterwdards.

Works really great and easy to put together. For the reviews that say they noticed there were clumps of fur/hair being left behind....it means your carpet needs several passes. My dog sheds a lot, I shed a lot, since quarantine I've become my boyfriend's hair dresser -- hair just ends up everywhere in my apartment and I don't regularly vacuum like I should. Even though I dry vacuumed the carpet twice before using this steamer, I noticed the same thing other reviewers reported where wet clumps of fur/hair were left behind, especially when I stopped the cleaner to power off, it seemed like it always spit out dirty water or hair under the spot I stopped. When I turned the cleaner over I could see the bottom was pretty much covered in wet hair and fur (I know, disgusting) that got sucked out from deep inside the carpet. If you wipe all that off, and then do another pass, you won't have that issue anymore. My carpet looks wayyyyyyyy better now. I docked one star because the location of the power button way at the bottom seems to be really poor design to me, and it requires a surprising amount of pressure to turn it off -- not good if you need to immediately cut the power.

I purchased this as a replacement for a Bissell that I gave to my son. I was looking for the same kind of cleaner and, besides the lack of attachments, this product was perfect. I have two carpets in my home and no animals. This cleaner is lightweight, easy to handle, and easier to clean. It did a great job on my carpets as I cleaned them within days of receiving my new Bissell. I love it! And thank you for the quick shipment (only a few days).
