[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ALSO HAD PILES OF CAT FUR, BUT I WAS GLAD TO BE ABLE TO VACUUM THEM UP AND NOT HAVE TO GET THEM OUT OF THE HOSES...YES, IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT, YES THE TANKS ARE SMALL BUT IT IS A "COMPACT CARPET CLEANER",,,IF THE TANKS WERE LARGER, THEN IT WOULD BE HEAVIER AND LESS COMPACT ....NO BIG DEAL... BUT I AM PRETTY SURPRISED THAT NO ONE MENTIONED THE LACK OF A RINSE CYCLE....THE MANUAL DIDN'T MENTION IT, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFERED ME A VIDEO TO WATCH THAT DIDN'T MENTION A RINSE CYCLE, SO IS IT NOT "TRENDY" TO RINSE THE SOAP OUT OF YOUR CARPET ANYMORE? MY TAKE ON NO RINSE CYCLE IS VERY MUCH LIKE IT WOULD BE IF MY DISHWASHER HAD NO RINSE CYCLE OR MY SHAMPOO SAID TO WASH MY HAIR AND LEAVE THE SOAP IN...??? A CARPET CLEANING COMPANY TOLD ME LONG AGO THAT SOMETIMES IT IS GOOD TO CLEAN YOUR CARPET MORE OFTEN SO THAT YOU CAN ALTERNATE USING CARPET CLEANING SOLUTION EVERY OTHER TIME AND JUST GOING OVER YOUR CARPET WITH HOT WATER INSTEAD SINCE DIRT CLINGS TO SOAP RESIDUE (SO DON'T "ADD MORE" SOLUTION THINKING IT WILL GET YOUR RUGS CLEANER--IT WILL DO JUST THE OPPOSITE!!!) BUT WHAT THE HECK, I JUST GOT A WILD HAIR AND DECIDED TO FOLLOW THE CLEANING CYCLE WITH A RINSE CYCLE....IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE NOT TO...AGAIN, AM I MISSING SOMETHING?????

Thanks for your question. Our formula doesn't require a rinse cycle, but you can always use water only in the clean tank. Hope this helps!

got this carpet cleaner for my grandmother. she has a cat, 3 dogs, and is extremely particular about cleaning. more specifically, cleaning her carpets. she was using a heavy, bulky monstrosity before and seems pretty happy with the transition to something that's a little more manageable ... she has not since let me forget that this one is 10x lighter and easily stores away just about anywhere in her apartment. she has said that it sprays just the right amount, and that the suction works pretty impressively as well. and honestly, if that woman approves-with not one single issue, nonetheless- then i'm gonna have to say that this thing deserves the five stars i'm giving it.
