Something I Used to Love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for 15 months now, used it 4 to 6 times. I loved it, worked great, was easy to use and not heavy. But last time I used it I smelled burnt rubber and the brush stopped rotating. Got the online manual and the required Phillips screwdriver, opened belt carriage as required. Don't know why, but a hard, stiff 1/2 inch section developed on the belt so it would have to be replaced. Small plastic pieces of the housing came off, too, so now I am not sure if replacing the belt is the answer, or if I need a new machine. Note 3 months out of warranty. Not happy anymore.

This thing really works!!! We had our carpets professionally cleaned and the stains came back within days. We have a long haired indoor/outdoor dog, 2 cats, and 2 little boys...so lots of dirt and messes! Our living room carpet is old, beige and looked terrible even though I had tried to catch and treat stains as they happened, this got out and reduced the appearance of the old stains to the point I have to actually look for them when I vacuum. It was so easy to put together that my 6 year old did it (he was excited to use it). The cleaner that came with it smelled nice and worked really well. My only complaint is I wish the tanks were bigger! With so much carpet it seems to take forever because I felt like I was constantly emptying brown dirty water and refilling the clean water tank. Oh and it was a little difficult to use on my entry rugs because it kept wanting to pull up the edge so I had to hold it with my toes as I vacuumed, but they look like new. And my 2 year old gray carpet in my bedroom looks gray again in the dog's favorite spots to lay! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Within 2 uses the spray trigger thing stopped working have tried everything to fix it but still nothing i loved this machine, i had switch from hoover to this bisell but idk what brand is better anymore have had bad experiences with both machines stopped working
