We only have carpet in our bedrooms, which are small, so have very high traffic with the family and the dogs. This gets into all the tight places and does a fantastic job of cleaning. Our five year old carpets look like new!

We have only had this carpet cleaner for a few weeks, so I cannot speak at all to its reliability. However, the first few uses were great. Easy enough to use and seems effective (at least short term)

Defective Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this carpet cleaner as a gift from my wedding registry last year. At first, I thought it worked great. I used it quarterly on our carpets for a good, deep clean. Unfortunately, after 4 total uses, I started to smell something burning while using this . My husband inspected the product and noticed that the belt has been rubbing against a plastic piece internally and causing the spin brush to seize up. The belt is now almost broken in half, the brush won't spin, and the vacuum is no longer usable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Spectacular lightweight shampooer

I received the TurboClean Powerbrush Pet Upright Carpet Deep Cleaner from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Assembly was quick, easy, and effortless. It took less than - slow 10 minutes to assemble. All the usual suspects are in place as far as the reservoir, the dirty water tank, and brush cleaners. Easy demarcations indicate the amount of water and solution to use. Removal of the dirty tank is literally a snap. There is a latch on each side that snaps upward and you lift the tank away to empty. Emptying the dirty water is a cinch as well because you simply lift a flap and out it goes. Now for the good stuff. We moved into our home and noticed that white socks were turning brown with one walk across the floor. Also one of our little "critters" got sick and spit up on the floor. Anyone knows that dried puke in carpet requires pretreating/ scrubbing and then shampooing. Well not with this bad boy of a machine. Granted I had to go over that area of the carpet maybe 3-4 extra passes to break the muck but no extra handwork on my part the shampooer made it better than new. I was super excited. Overall this machine is awesomely spectacular and I love it. Cons: if there was any point of improvement not necessarily a con, it is the amount of water the dirty tank holds before needing to be emptied. Sometimes the shampooer will alert you to empty the tank ( via a high pitch whine after hearing the internal thud) before the full line indicates you to.

I've got a couple of older critters that have little "mistakes" on the carpet. I've tried several products for cleaning and they just don't work. I saw this product advertised and purchased it and I'm so glad that I did. I did read some of the reviews and saw the one about the carpet being wet for days...I didn't find that at all.............You just have to use the trigger for the water dispersing a little at a time and vacuum over it a few times to get it drier..............WORKS WONDERFULLY. Thank you for an excellent product.

Like many others, the belt has melted the plastic housing rendering the vacuum useless after just 4 uses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned several Bissell vacuums and shampooers over the years and have even purchased them as gifts. Definitely recommend this brand and the products. I used to rent the Rug Doctor but the convenience and ease of a home machine is a no-brainer. Be sure, in the northern climates, to store the shampooer in a room temperature environment when not in use so it is nit damaged.
