Well worth the money!

I rent my home and when we moved in the previous tenants had left the place trashed, especially the carpet. That combined with recently raising a puppy meant the poor carpet was in rough shape. I tried a lot of different sprays and scrubs and such, but none of it really worked. I finally decided to invest in this carpet cleaner and wish I had way sooner. I can't say the carpet looks brand new, but it certainly looks, and smells, substantially better! The machine itself is really easy to use and intuitive, and it's lightweight enough to easily bring it upstairs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

When i first got it . It worked ok not that great. Now a year later it doesn't seem to extract the water off the carpet.

Cheap plastic wheel

The first time we used it one of the wheels broke. The website was difficult to use and I never did find where I could order a replacement wheel. Very frustrating.

This was my first experience with a carpet cleaner and I was both very satisfied with how effectively it cleaned my carpets, as well as highly grossed out by how much dirt and hair was in my carpet... The process of filling the carpet cleaner with water and the cleaning solution was very easy and intuitive. The instructions were easy to understand and offered helpful information on cleaning the product and how to problem-solve any issues. I also enjoyed the fresh, clean scent it left for hours after. The carpet cleaner was easy to maneuver and a great size - I'm much taller than average and often have to hunch over to use cleaning products, but this cleaner was the perfect height. My one complaint was how frequent clumps of dust / hair / debris were left behind me as I rolled the cleaner back and forth. While my roommate has cats and thus my carpet gets a lot of hair in it, I vacuumed right before using this carpet cleaner. I wish this product had something built in to catch the clumps of hair & dust rather than just leaving a trail of clumps behind. Taking apart the cleaner to empty the reservoirs and clean them was simple, as well as.. unpleasant. This was primarily just due to how dirty my carpets were and not a fault of the device, but cleaning out the dirt, hair, and dust that had accumulated inside the reservoir and around the brush took longer than I expected. Overall, I was pleased with the effectiveness of and the ease of use of this cleaner. I would definitely recommend this product to individuals who don't have pets, or who plan to thoroughly vacuum / remove hair before using this cleaner. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great carpet cleaner that's easy to maintain

As a member of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I recently had the opportunity to put the Bissell TurboClean™ Upright Carpet Cleaner to the test, and I was impressed. The TurboClean performed amazingly well and it was easy to use. This carpet cleaner was truly outstanding from the quick and painless assembly, arriving in four pieces, to the powerful cleaning capabilities. Measuring in at around 45 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 17 inches deep, the TurboClean doesn't take up a lot of real estate when being stored. The TurboClean is lightweight and easy to maneuver. It packs a powerful punch when it comes to removing dirt and stains. The carpet cleaner came with a small and pleasant-smelling 8-ounce bottle of Bissell Pro Max Clean and Protect cleaning solution. This amount was enough to clean nearly two rooms and a hallway in my townhome. I followed the user guide to apply the cleaning solution, where you hold the spray trigger for the entirety of a forward and back motion. I was surprised at how much dirt and debris the TurboClean extracted, even after vacuuming. For the set-in pet stains, I cleaned those with a double pass of the cleaning solution. Remarkably, those stains were removed quickly and easily. The TurboClean automatically stops cleaning when the dirty water tank is full. Cleaning the carpet cleaner is straightforward and doesn't require any special skills. I'm able to clean the majority of the machine simply by removing the tanks and covers. The only portion of the machine that would require additional tools is the space in and around the brush rollers, which will require a Phillips-head screwdriver. The only downfall of the TurboClean Upright Carpet Cleaner is that it lacks a handheld attachment. Also, the brushes do not reach the edge of the 10-inch width. So, cleaning to the edge of the carpet may prove to be difficult, especially without a handheld attachment. Despite the minor drawbacks related to edge cleaning and the lack of a handheld

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best appliances I have ever purchased. This thing is a saver of everything...time, money, elbow grease, you name it! It's small, maneuverable, lightweight, and efficient. The extraction seems like that of more expensive models and it rivals the hassle of rental machines! Not quite as powerful of course but by the time you whip this out and use it, clean it up and put it away...you might be returning home from the big box store with the rental! As far as I'm concerned, this paid for itself the very first time I used it! So easy to set up and cleans good; not leaving to wet of carpet so dry time is minimal! This is grade "A"!

Not having to use this frequently, like a vacuum cleaner, the second time I need to use the machine it will NOT EVEN START!! Tried several different outlets and it still does not work! And now it is past the 1 year warranty so I am STUCK WITH A CLEANER THAT DOES NOT WORK!! Very upset and not happy with this Bissell product.
