[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Discovered the Bissell TurboClean PowerBrush Pet Carpet Cleaner-Model 2987 thru a google search of "Best Quick Dry Carpet Cleaning Machines". Extremely happy with this machine that is easy to use if you follow the directions & watch "how to videos" on bissell.com. It has great suction and is very light weight (which is why the clean & dirty tanks are small). Some tips & notes: if you're cleaning your own carpet it will be messy because you're using water so be prepared. With that said, any carpet cleaning machine I've ever used/rented has always leaked to a certain extent and this one is no different. #1. Have towels near the areas where you're working. #2. I recommend using a rubber/plastic tray or tub that the machine can be placed in when you're changing the clean & dirty water tanks. This will eliminated the machine from sitting directly on the carpet when you're not using it and prevent any dirty water from leaking onto the carpet. **we have a hard plastic boot tray (see photo) that worked perfectly for this** #3. One reviewer suggested putting a black sharpie mark at the back of the dirty water tank because the Bissell white mark isn't visable when in use (white mark is on the left side of the dirty tank) which I did. But I really didn't need to look at the mark because I got use to the sound of the machine when it was time to change the tanks. #4. When making the "passes" (see Cleaning Your Carpet in manual) GO SLOWLY especially when pulling the dirty water up from the rug. I even used the machine to make passes without spraying solution, just to be sure I got all of the water up. Bottom line, if you don't like to deal with mess and hassle then hire someone to clean your carpet. But if you like the idea of cleaning your rug on your schedule when you need to and the added bonus of not having to crate/kennel your pets, then buy this machine.

Makes vacuuming harder that it should be

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With this vacuum I have to constantly clean the dog hair stuck in the brush and the plastic around it. It sucks the hairs very minimal since as I am vacuuming the hairs just get wet and all together and have to be picked up by hand around 10-15 times as a vacuum a single room. I like the fact that it has the shampooing option, but other than that vacuuming has become a task that can take up to an hour as I need to be constantly cleaning the vacuum itself as it doesn't catch the less that 1 in hairs of my medium dog.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've never used a carpet cleaner before until I received this one from stellar panel testing. I have to say I am a believer now. My son decided to draw all over the carpet in his room. As mad as I was I was also excited to try out the new carpet cleaner. Putting the vacuum together was easy and the sample of cleaner they provide should last for some time if only spot cleaning. I was very impressed with how well it worked and how quickly it worked. The cleaning it afterwards was a little bit of a pain but necessary.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm extremely satisfied with the unit. I've used my TurboClean to clean a couple of the long runner rugs I use between the house and the entryways and for small soiled areas in my other rooms. I'm very pleased with the unit overall. It does a great job of cleaning and leaves very little moisture in the cleaned areas so they dry very quickly. It's also very easy to clean the unit after use - it comes apart easily and washes out well. The only complaint I have is minor - I wish the power switch was easier to toggle on/off (larger and more conveniently located).
