[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Continually leaves solution on the floor after using. Even emptying the tanks it leaks out and ruins the floor where it is store. I have cleaned all filters as suggested in the FAQs to no avail. Leaves carpet very wet after using and does not suck up enough. I had another brand for years and NEVER encountered these issues. Waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would not buy again! I've had this carpet cleaner for a few months and today it started smelling like burning plastic and smoking I turn it upside down to find that the band is rubbing against the plastic causing it to melt which smells horrendous as well as leaving tiny bits of burn plastic all over my carpet . I haven't had this product long and this is already happening.

Perfect size, great clean!

Upon arrival, from receiving this product as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and quickly the TurboClean Upright carpet cleaner was to assemble. The compact design of this upright carpet cleaner is ideal for tackling messes that exceed the capabilities of paper towels or simple spot cleaning needs. Its small size makes it a perfect fit for homes with limited storage, carpet in only some areas, or smaller rooms and apartments. While compact, the carpet cleaner boasted surprisingly large clean and dirty water tanks, ensuring adequate capacity for thorough cleaning. Although the carpet cleaner affectively did a great job on my carpets, I found cleaning the machine itself afterwards, was not as straightforward as I had hoped for. Cleaning the machine was more difficult than expected. Dirt and debris tended to accumulate in small crevices around the front roller. To ensure a proper cleaning with no mold or bacteria buildup, unscrewing the roller was the only way to do so, a process that proved inconvenient. Maneuvering the machine into tight spaces, around furniture, corners, and obstacles was effortless thanks to its lightweight design. I find the machine very easy to steer, which I attribute to its featherweight feel. I wonder if the carpet cleaner should have included additional tools, as they would have been very useful for cleaning upholstery and other surfaces, in addition to the carpet. I was incredibly impressed by the cleaning power of this upright carpet cleaner. Despite our carpet being only three years old, the amount of dirt and debris extracted was astonishing. I had no idea how much dirt and grime had accumulated from the kids and pets. As a busy mom of three, I don't get to deep clean the carpets very often, so this new carpet cleaner is a much-needed addition to our family.

The TurboClean Upright Carpet Cleaner is exactly what its name states: an amazing carpet cleaner! I received this Bissell product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was very excited to try it out. Upon opening the box it was clear that there would not be much assembly required as the vacuum is separated into four major parts. The instruction manual shows you how to smoothly and swiftly click the necessary pieces into place and how to fill the clean water and solution tank. The tank is marked with a fill line for clean water as well as a line for adding the solution. Once you have these added in, you flip it over, click it into the vacuum, and you're ready to go! After a good session of use (roughly 30 minutes) these are the few pros and cons I walked away with: Pros: -The machine is so light weight, even with the water and solution, that it was easy to move and navigate in any direction. -The Power Button is easy to find and to spray the solution you press a separate blue button on the handle. -Within 5-8 passes over an area the carpet was not only noticeably cleaner, but dry as well! -I used the machine over year old coffee stains/spots and it cleaned them up with no issues! -In the end the machine was very easy to disassemble and clean. Cons: -While the machine is very lightweight and nimble, it has no attachments. This means it truly is meant for cleaning carpets and not really anything else. Again, this is as advertised, but it would have been nice! -Since the machine has no attachments it does make cleaning carpeted stairs very tricky. It is possible if you turn it sideways while using, but you can only clean the actual part that you walk on, not the panel between steps. -Design wise: when disassembling to empty the machine, water pooled up in the main cavity of the vacuum where the water/solution tank sits. You cannot remove that particular piece of the body if the vacuum so I had to pick up the entire machine and dump it into the sink.

It does clean... With maximum frustration for the user

The Bissell TurboClean Powerbrush does get your carpets cleaner. It works. My large rug and my mom's bedroom carpets are cleaner than they have been in a long time. So for that, this product gets 2 stars. Because it does work. And it is relatively lightweight, easy to put together out of the packaging, and quite simple to understand how to use it. My main issue with the Bissell TurboClean carpet cleaner is that the max cutoff suction for the dirty water does not seem to correlate with the clean water tank. Almost without fail, it shuts off before the clean water tank is empty, so you have to stop what you're doing, empty the dirty water, then 5 minutes later, do a science experiment to refill the clean water. It doesn't matter if you empty when you refill, you'll still have to stop to empty. The max line for the dirty tank is only like 1/4 the way of the volume of the dirty tank, too. So the size of the tank appears to have room for several refills of clean water, but in practice, it's actually somehow less than a full clean tank. I used the Bissell TurboClean on a small area of rug - about a 5x7. It worked fine. Then I used it at my parents house on their carpet - approx 200sq ft of carpet. It took 3.5 hours due to all the stopping and starting to empty and refill. If the empty tank and refill could happen at the same time, this carpet cleaner would be so much less frustrating to use, closer to 3, maybe 4 stars. But because there's not a way to force it and there's no override for the max water (once it shuts off, you have to empty to continue), you're forced to have to stop working every 5-10 minutes to do maintenance on the machine. It's so debilitating to the process - you kind of lose your place every 5-10 minutes. Carpet cleaning isn't really a job you can do halfway, so once you pop, you can't really stop. There's a backflow on the dirty water that can just slop nasty water out if you're not pretty conscious of the way you're carrying it to empty it. I e

I purchased this two days ago, used it 3 times, a replacement or larger carpet cleaner for our little green spot cleaner. Wow did Bissell disappoint with this product! The belt broke, then the dirty water tank started leaking! I thought certainly it must have been due to me cleaning out the water tank not connecting it, I made sure everything aligned, everything was connected securely. Also, while I am very well aware you have to go over several times for the drying feature, everything still stayed literally saturated so either the sprayer was constantly letting out cleaner or the sucking feature "sucked" no pun intended! I am all about Bissell products but this was, no joke, the most frustrating situation! Nothing simple about it. It created more of a mess in the end with the dirty water spilling out through the entire process!

We have an elderly dog in the home. We need to clean the carpet daily. This carpet cleaner is the worse Bissell carpet cleaner we have ever purchased. Due to our elderly dog we usually need to buy a new one every yr due to the over use. We have always bought Bissell. This does nothing like the other models we have purchased. Have been buying a carpet cleaner for the past 17 yrs .... just now more frequent in the last 3 yrs. Other models we have purchased have better cleaning power than this one.

Thank you for your feedback—we’re sorry to hear the TurboClean™ PowerBrush didn’t meet your expectations, especially given your long-standing loyalty to BISSELL and the important role our machines play in your home. This model is designed for lightweight, quick cleanups, so it may not offer the same deep-cleaning power as some of our larger machines. We’d love to help you find a better fit for your daily needs—please reach out to us at support.bissell.com so we can assist further.

No more Spot Cleaning

After not being able to spot clean a newer Carpet we considered purchasing a Carpet Cleaner. After reviewing Bissell and other Carpet Cleaners this Bissell model was the model we purchased. After using it twice it has cleaned what spot cleaning could not. It is easy to use and clean after use. We have found that in addition to removing the water to dry after cleaning that using ceiling fans on high speeds up the drying time.
