Amazingly effective and easy to use and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never wanted an upright rug/upholstery cleaner because the ones I had seen were too cumbersome and not worth taking up the precious space in my house. But I was very pleased with how the Bissell HydroSteam Revolution was so easy to use and intuitive.
Cleaning Performance
It certainly did a great job with my high traffic rugs: in my office, dining room and hallway runner. We have two large dogs and two kids and despite having a no-shoe policy in our house, I'm always amazed at how dirty our rugs get. And I really try to clean regularly!
I've used this several times and I still get black water in the dirty water tank, which shows how effective the machine is.

Easy Maintenance
I also liked that there aren't too many pieces to clean after the fact, as I've experienced with other vacuums and cleaners. Just a few pieces that are easy enough to rinse out and dry before putting into storage.

Room for Improvement
The only disappointment was that I was not able to get the 2-in-1 self-cleaning tool to work. I tried several times, read the instructions, troubleshot, and I could not get the water to come through the hose. I really wanted this to work as I have a handheld/portable upholstery cleaner and would love the opportunity to consolidate cleaning tools.

Steam Power Meets Smart Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was genuinely impressed with my overall cleaning experience using this machine. From the very first use, it made a noticeable difference in both the cleanliness of my carpets and the ease of my routine. What used to feel like a time-consuming chore became more efficient and even a bit satisfying. The machine glides smoothly, is easy to maneuver, and has a modern, sleek design that doesn’t feel clunky or overly industrial.
The standout feature for me was the HydroSteam Technology. It was incredibly effective at breaking down tough, sticky messes that had been embedded in my area rugs for ages. Things like dried juice spills, muddy paw prints, and even long-standing coffee stains were significantly diminished or completely gone after just one pass. It feels like the steam really lifts and loosens grime in a way traditional carpet cleaners can’t.
The built-in Pretreater was another highlight. Being able to quickly apply a targeted solution to stubborn stains before running the full clean made a noticeable difference. It saved me from having to manually blot or spray ahead of time, which streamlined the entire process and led to much better stain removal in a single session.
As for the 2-in-1 self-cleaning tool, I found it especially useful for tackling above-floor messes. I used it on couch cushions, stairs, and even my dog’s bed. Not only did it do a great job pulling up embedded pet hair and odor, but the self-cleaning aspect meant I didn’t have to dread the cleanup after cleaning—which is a major win in my book.
Overall, this machine has genuinely elevated my cleaning game. It’s powerful, thoughtfully designed, and packed with smart features that make deep cleaning feel less like a hassle and more like a quick refresh.

Got the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam got the job done! I found it very effective and easy to use. It has a nice look sleek look. The Pretreater seemed effective and the HydroSteam technology was impressive. Our carpets have a couple of pet stains that are years old from previous owners and it didn’t remove them but I have no doubt that the carpets were cleaner after using the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam. One thing that I don’t like is that all of the attachments don’t have a home on the machine. I would like to see the small pieces attach to it so that I don’t lose them. It does come with a nice drawstring bag that the hose can be stored in. Over all, I have really liked my Bissell Revolution HydroSteam and will be using it regularly with my sticky fingered kids!

Favorite Carpet Cleaner Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this carpet cleaner! Like, LOVE it. First and foremost it is SO easy to clean! The catch and clean tray is seriously next level design. You pop the tray and wipe it off and you’re 90% done with the cleaning process. As a busy mom of four children and two dogs the quick and easy clean out is probably my favorite feature. Initially I was going to try to get the pink make up stain out of our living room rug, but I was so impressed with how well the HydroSteam maneuvered and cleaned that I did the whole rug! Normally when it’s time to shampoo the children’s carpets I hem and haw and dread the day, but with the HydroSteam I cleaned my four year olds entire bedroom carpet in less than thirty minutes. Did I mention how quick and easy the machine clean out is yet? It took less than 10 minutes to clean out the entire machine, rinse all the parts and be on to the next activity so we could enjoy the day!
The pretreat and steam cleaning options came in clutch for tough set in stains. It cleaned some very dried out and stuck in yellow clay out of my kiddos carpet. You can’t barely tell it was even there now. It doesn’t take very long to heat up the pretreat steam which is awesome! It worked very well on new and older stains alike.
I lose things often so I really enjoyed the flip top cap on the clean water tank and the clearly marked fill lines for cleaning solution and water. There is even a half tank fill line which I thought was a great idea. Sometimes I only need to spot clean a small section so that came in super handy and reduced water and solution waste. The handheld upholstery cleaner has interchangeable rubber and bristle heads and a storage bag included. I really liked that it’s a 2 in 1 tool so it takes up less space in the utility closet.
Overall, I’m really happy with this machine and can’t wait to convince all my friends to buy one, too!

If you have kids and pets you need this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 young kids and a cat and was so excited to use the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam. I found it very easy to use and straightforward. It is hard to pick my favorite feature but it might be the Pretreating option! You know when your kid spills something on your light couch or carpet? Or your cat that always seems to throw up on the carpet, never to hardwood floor 2 inches away?! It used to be a reason to panic--now I just pull out the HydroSteam and it disappears like magic, especially when pretreated. I spent a day using the machine in all my spaces--area rugs, furniture etc and everything looks new!
I'd highly recommend this product, especially for kid and pet parents. Get ready to up your cleaning game!

Pretreat Feature is a Game Changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've borrowed steam cleaners from other people before, but none of them compared to this one! The pre-treat feature took care of stains that had been there for 8 months+. I cannot believe how clean my carpets came out! Or how filthy they were which I saw when the output water came out a dark brown (gross). I highly recommend this product for anyone with kids or pets. It was easy to set up and use and was not too bulky or cumbersome. The output tank was easy to clean after using. Sure, you need to find some room to store this but it's no different than a vacuum. Highly recommend!

Bissell Revolution HydroSteam for the WIN

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the last 10 years, we have struggled to keep our carpets clean, remove stains and have them not smelling like vomit. We have 4 dogs and 2 your children; our messes range from dog pee/poop/vomit to food and drink stains and snow/salt tracked in during winter months. We’ve tried a few other brands but none seemed to do everything we needed well. They seemed to only one thing well which left us frustrated.
Since we started using the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam, our carpet cleaning dreams have come true! It was easy to set-up with clear instructions and has been very simple to use. It makes even the big stains/messes a breeze to clean-up. So far, we’ve cleaned dog poop and vomit as well as cleaned stains from tracked in dirt/salt from winter/spring here in Colorado. The pre-treating tool was very helpful to start the cleaning process before the real cleaning began. The self-cleaning tool works great and the feature that we were most excited about is the detachable cleaning head. With the amount of dog hair that gets trapped in this area historically, this feature saves us so much time and frustration. All other machines we’ve used in the past have this part permanently attached, making cleaning time consuming and super frustrating. The steam feature seems to work well, although we’ve only used it once so far. Overall, we are very happy with this machine and the cleaning capabilities it brings to our home.

Amazing Carpet Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned several carpet cleaners by many brands and this one by far is the best I have ever used! The Bissel Revolution HydroSteam has so many amazing features that make it extraordinary. First, there is a new pretreat steam feature that came is super handy with tough old stains on my carpet. I noticed doing this mode first made a huge difference. The steam feature is also on the main cleaning mode. It’s a game changer. The next awesome feature is on the handheld cleaning tool; it has a self cleaning option when you are done using it to clean the tool and even the tubing. Third, it has a nice collection container so you don’t have to constantly empty it while cleaning the floors. Lastly, the HydroSteam is a new guard by the bristles to help collect hair and other debris which was super helpful catching loose pet hair. As a mom with several animals and messy toddlers this is a lifesaver for all life’s messes big or small!
