WOW it removed grime professionals could not
on March 17, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. I am floored by this machine, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our carpets have seen some things. They are past their expiration date, and were honestly not the best quality even when we moved in. After over a decade of wear on them, including the appearance of three small children who have subjected them to more bodily fluids, snacks, and other abuse than I care to admit - I was at a loss on how to ungross these carpets. We even hired a professional steam cleaning company, but even they couldn't get the black gunk stains out.
Then came the Bissell. Again - wow. I used the urine formula first. We have no pets, but back to back years of diaper and potty training age little kids can do some things to a carpet's smell. It smelled SO GOOD after. The amount of grime that came out was both horrifying and satisfying. But, those stubborn black spots stayed.
A few days later, I decided to try their pro formula. Both of these have a sample amount included in the box. For the amount of grime I was tackling, I did buy an additional bottle of the pro, which was needed. It took a number of times going over each spot, but it got the stains out so much better than even the professional cleaners! WOW!
It is a heavy machine with a powerful suction, so it did take some elbow grease working it over the significant stains. It's about the size of a standard vacuum, so the proper amount of storage space should be accounted for ahead of time. I do also wish the clean water tank was bigger. I think it's large enough to go over a medium size room for a quick once over on a single tank, but it flies through the water if you need to hold the trigger as instructed for the stains. I had to stop and refill the clean water tank quite a few times, which also burned through the cleaning solution. Cleaning the machine isn't too much trouble. The dirty water tank dumps and rinses out easily. The bristles at the bottom take a bit of wiping, but it wasn't too time consuming even after the amount of gunk we pulled from ten year old carpets.
The results are definitely worth it. The carpet feels, looks, and smells significantly better. I loved that the clear section above the rolling brush made it easy to see if water was still being sucked up, so dry time wasn't more than a few hours. As mentioned, it did a better job than the professionals. The amount of dirt it pulled up was eye opening. It's now my favorite deep cleaning tool in the house, and such a relief to know how much cleaner the floors are for my littles. I've already recommended it to a number of my friends who also have young kids.

Effective Cleans Messes
on March 17, 2026
Posted by: ljh3822
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I give the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner a solid 4.5 stars for its performance and functionality. The overall cleaning power is very effective, easily pulling up both fresh spills and older stains after a couple of passes. It tackled everyday messes extremely well and made a noticeable difference in high-traffic areas. I believe the steam function greatly improves the overall cleaning results. The machine is very easy to use and provides a smooth operation. I like how easy it is to remove and replace both the clean and dirty water tanks. Filling the clean tank and emptying the dirty one is quick and hassle-free, which makes the whole process more convenient. The long cord length is another big plus, allowing me to move around without constantly switching outlets. The cleaned surface is a little wetter than what I’ve experienced with other machines, but it feels like a fair tradeoff for the more effective, deeper cleaning results. The self-cleaning cycle is helpful for furniture and smaller areas the main machine can’t reach, though it isn’t quite as powerful and doesn’t offer steam, but it’s still a convenient added feature. If you have carpet in your home and find yourself needing to clean messes, this steam-powered carpet cleaner is a solid investment.

We’re glad to hear the Revolution® HydroSteam™ delivered strong results on both fresh spills and older stains, especially in high‑traffic areas. As you noted, carpets may feel a bit wetter due to the deeper clean and steam power—slower passes and allowing extra drying time can help. We appreciate you highlighting the easy tank removal, long cord, and self‑cleaning features that make the process more convenient overall.

The BEST Steam Carpet Cleaner
on March 17, 2026
Posted by: keproudfit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I would be literally giddy about a carpet cleaner, but here we are. This Bissell has outdone every single one of my expectations. I have four small children, and it feels like every other day they’re creating some small disaster on my carpet/upholstery, such as sticky food messes, mud, or the unfortunate side effects of potty training. Usually with my old machine I would put off cleaning everything up because it was such a hassle, but the revolution hydrosteam makes it SO EASY. Set up takes no time and all, and my favorite part is how quickly I can clean the whole machine when I’m done—it seriously takes less than a minute to rinse and clean everything out, especially with the self-cleaning cycle (I literally did the self-clean like six different times my first time using the machine just because it was so satisfying). The suction/cleaning power of it is also incredible, so it takes way less time to clean the actual messes, which is so nice when I don’t have a ton of time. I also love that it has steam power!! It’s a very unique feature that solves some of my biggest mess headaches. I seriously cannot recommend this machine enough!

HydroSTEAM
on March 17, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overall cleaning power blew me away. It pulls up deep dirt and stains I had completely written off, including set-in messes on carpet and upholstery. It does not just clean the surface. It actually extracts what is buried in the fibers.
For sticky, stuck on kid messes, it is genuinely in a category of its own. The heat and suction work together to break down residue instead of just pushing it around. Messes I had scrubbed at repeatedly came up on the first pass.
The steam function is what makes this machine worth it. Knowing it uses real steam and not just hot water matters. Real steam penetrates and loosens grime at the source rather than just wetting it. I used it on my couch and the difference was visible immediately. It lifted staining without soaking the fabric and the couch dried quickly.
The self cleaning cycle is one of the easiest features I have used on any cleaning appliance. You run clean water through at the end and it flushes the dirty buildup out of the machine in just a few minutes. No tools, no taking anything apart. It keeps the machine smelling fresh and ready for next use.
Overall this is one of the best cleaning investments I have made. It handles stains and messes that nothing else has been able to touch!

Powerful Time Saving Clean for Busy Moms
on March 17, 2026
Posted by: LaMaBa
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a busy mom, I don’t have time to baby a cleaning machine—I need something that works fast, works well, and doesn’t add more to my to-do list. The Bissell Revolution HydroSteam has honestly been a game-changer in that respect.
The first thing that stood out to me was the overall cleaning power. Between kids, snacks, and constant foot traffic, my carpets see everything. This machine pulled up dirt I didn’t even realize was still there, and it left the carpet looking noticeably fresher after just one pass in most areas. It feels like a deep clean without having to go over the same spot a dozen times.
Where it really impressed me was on sticky, stuck-on messes—think juice spills, dried food, and mystery spots that have been there longer than I’d like to admit. Normally, those take serious scrubbing (or I just ignore them), but this handled them surprisingly well. I did a quick pre-pass on tougher spots, and they lifted much easier than with past cleaners I’ve used.
The steam function is probably my favorite feature. Knowing it’s using real steam—not just hot water—gave me peace of mind, especially with kids and pets around. It felt like a more hygienic clean, and I could actually see it breaking down grime. It’s one of those features I didn’t realize I needed until I had it.
And as for the self-cleaning cycle—huge win. After I’m done cleaning, the last thing I want is to spend extra time dealing with the machine itself. The self-cleaning feature was simple to run and saved me from having to manually rinse everything out. It made the whole process feel much more manageable.
Overall, it fits perfectly into a busy household. It’s powerful, practical, and doesn’t require a ton of extra effort—which, honestly, is exactly what I need.

Wonderful steam clean function
on March 17, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m overall very happy with the new steam clean first Bissell shampooer. Unboxing and assembly is very simple and quick. I used to have another Bissell model that burned out and I have been without one for a while.
First I tried this on my need to be replaced bedroom carpet. It’s a light color and hasn’t been cleaned in years. The first pass I thought the steam only was the only option, so make sure you are on the correct setting. There is no option to not use steam that I am aware. I figured out the correct way shortly after, and am pleased with results. My carpet felt so much cleaner and smelled really nice from the actual soap. It can’t bring it back to life completely but I can tell a difference.
The second area I tried was a 3” red ketchup stain on the same light oatmeal colored carpet. It’s been neglected for months. I think the steam helped loosen the stain before soaping. This small area took a few passes but it did fully come up.
I noticed that my carpet was dry much quicker than the older model (I’m talking just a few years old). The manual says 3-4 hrs I believe, and it actually was 3-4 hrs in areas that had a full soak of several passes with the trigger held. I am now a believer of the pre steam miracle.
So happy to have this whole home steamer and tackle all of my furniture shortly!

Wonderful carpet cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, anyone who has children knows how messy they can be. I had always wanted a good carpet cleaner, but I was unsure if it would be worth the money. I can honestly say I am so glad I was able to get this one because I was blown away with the results I got!
So, our kids get messy, messy. We like to learn, play, and have fun, so that comes with big messes. This carpet cleaner had my floors looking amazingly clean without all the tough cleanup after. It's definitely a win win!
The carpet in my youngest child's room was so stained with all kinds of things that I thought I would have to replace the carpet to get rid of it all. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that with a little elbow grease, most of the stuck-on funk was able to be lifted! It has a wider cleaning area than the tiny cleaners I've seen, so it got it done pretty quickly too. My mind was honestly blown.
I absolutely loved the steam power function. One of my family members has a carpet cleaner, but when you use it, the carpet is so wet after that the kids can't even play in that room until the next day. This cleaner way surpassed that one because it was only slightly damp, and it dried in about two hours. I think that's because this one uses real steam, and that makes all the difference.
So, the self cleaning cycle was fantastic! It was super easy to figure out, and my husband didn't even have to read the instructions to do it. I will definitely be using this carpet cleaner for many years to come, and it has saved me so much money because I don't have to replace my carpets due to stains.

Deep clean for big messes
on March 17, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this machine. I have the Bissell Little green machine and this does so much more and covers much larger spaces. I used it to tackle some sticky messes from my toddler that the smaller machine couldn’t handle and this one cleaned it all completely out of the carpet with the help of the steam power. The self cleaning cycle is super handy especially as a busy mom. My only complaint is I felt the carpet was still a little damp after use so I used a fan to make sure the floor was completely dry. Overall I think the product is great and works well for my needs. It was also very easy to put together out of the box.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We’re glad the Revolution® HydroSteam™ handled those bigger toddler messes and that the steam power and self‑cleaning cycle fit well into your busy routine. For dampness, using a fan or opening windows—just like you did—can really help speed up drying, and making slightly slower passes can also reduce leftover moisture.
