A Cleaning Revolution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was thoroughly impressed by several aspects of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. Right out of the box, it is clear the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is a quality product. It has a sleek design and is very easy to assemble, use, and clean.
As a mom of two toddlers and cats, my cleaning routine needs to be easy, quick, and effective. I started with the steam pretreat function and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the machine warmed up (35 seconds) and how quiet the Hydrosteam was. I love that it uses steam to loosen up the tougher messes instead of more chemicals. It loosened and lifted stuck on food and dirt with a few backwards and forwards motions. The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is very easy to maneuver and has impressive cleaning power. I could tell an immediate difference as I was cleaning. The machine has strong suction so the rug/upholstery dried very quickly as well. Connecting the adapters so I could wash my sofa cushions was a cinch. I was able to wash my rug and sofa cushions in one go.
A massive bonus is how easy it is to clean the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. The components take apart and open up so you can pour out the dirty liquid, rinse, and dry it off for storage. The machine also picks up fibers and hair etc., while steam cleaning (amazing) and the solid junk is simply wiped out and tossed in the trashcan.
The only downside is that it did not remove the several years old stains on my rug. I don't really blame the Bissell, however, as these stains have been on the rug for several years, and I have treated them with stain removers in the past with no success.
Overall, I highly recommend the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. It has impressive cleaning power, it suctions out moisture very well and is extremely easy to clean and put away. It is something I can use regularly for deep cleaning and maintaining my home because it's not a hassle to deal with at all.

Stained Carpet Looks Brand New

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon looking at the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam, you a see a very well-made product that carefully designed with its stylish copper color accents. Once I opened the box, I found that the instructions were very precise and straight to the point. I typically have my husband assemble new household products but putting this steamer together was a breeze. It didn't take long for me to assemble it (3-5 minutes) before I started cleaning my toddler's room. The steamer itself comes with 2 types of formula to get you started. Since my son's carpet is stained with dirt from shoes and various skin moisturizers as well as various healing ointment for his skin and how the stains have been there for about a year; I went with the MAX Clean and Protect formula.. It was a breeze to figure out how much I needed because the solution and water tank is clearly labeled and marked.
When I first used the steamer, it seemed a bit heavy as I was used to our more compact steamer. But as I started using the Hydrosteam, I found that it was very easy to maneuver and its weight was not an issue at all. In comparison to our other steamer, this larger upright steamer was even quieter than our portable steamer and more importantly, it was much more effective. Not only did it take out the stains and left the carpet looking brand new, it worked even faster than any other steamer I have ever used that didn't even come close leaving the surface as clean as Hydrosteam. Because of my stains were tough to remove (I have tried many products to remove these stains), I used the Steam Pretreat first and then the Steamwash Max feature. Once I was finished, I was impressed with how easily I could empty the tank that held the dirty water. Not only was it more sanitary, but the tank itself does not have any crevices to where it could trap any moisture and cause mold ( as I have seen in other steamers).
Because of easy assembly, ease in using, effectiveness as well as cleaning the steamer itself, I give the Hydrosteam 5 stars an highly recommend it to anyone who has stubborn stains in their home. Check out my before and after photos and see for yourself how great the Bissell Hydrosteam is.

Decent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is very powerful and looks very sleek. The instructions were simple and clear. After putting it together, I was sure that I would love it. As a disclaimer, I do not have pets but I do have 4 young children and plenty of carpet in my home.
I liked the steam power and the liquid releasing on the bottom as you push the vacuum. I could see the spills getting lighter and lighter over time, but it did take quite a few minutes of back and forward strokes. After a few moments, I noticed that the carpet looked dirtier than before! Turns out, the dirt that vacuum is collecting mixed with the liquids from the cleaning products were clumping together falling out from the vacuum. It was quite gross. I turned over the machine and could see where the buildup was happening. I cleaned it out and continued vacuuming but this happened repeatedly.
When I opened the compartment to attach the handheld attachment, I could see a buildup of dirt there too (after using the full size vacuum but never the handheld yet). The handheld cleaning was pretty thorough and did a decent job. It also has a self clean feature which is super simple. Cleaning out the machine was relatively easy as well.
Overall, the vacuum does a decent job getting out tough stains but does buildup grime during a single use and the grime will fall out of the machine while you are cleaning which is gross. I have attached before and after photos as well as the grime buildup (where the droppings fall from).

Gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never been fully satisfied with any carpet cleaner until now! The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam truly exceeded my expectations and is my new favorite household cleaning tool. I have two small children and live in a climate that frequently experiences snow/slush, rain and lots of mud, yet somehow still have a white rug near one of my entry doors. That rug has been cleaned so many times over the years but has never truly been white again. Using the steam function of the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam along with the Bissell carpet cleaning solution, I was able to make my white rug look as good as new! I could hardly believe how quickly and easily this tool was able to make such a huge difference. I wish I had a before and after!
The tool itself is very user friendly and intuitive to use. The steam function is automatic and works like a charm. Several sticky spots on my rugs and carpet have been removed effortlessly. I really love the hose attachment to get into hard to reach areas or to use as an upholstery cleaner.
Aside from how effective this tool is my favorite part is how simple it is to clean after you’re finished using it. Every plastic cover and nozzle comes apart so that every last bit of gunk can be removed, leaving your machine like it’s never been used. Who likes a carpet cleaner that’s got years of built up icky-ness inside? not me! You will never experience that with this machine. It also has a very simple self cleaning mode- I did have to refer to the user manual to learn how to use this function.
Overall this machine is very easy to use and is able to tackle tough cleaning jobs with ease. The only cons I encountered are the machine is heavy and a tad bulky. I do appreciate that the machine came with a bag to store its attachments though I would like if the attachments could be stored on the machine itself somehow.
Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Erased Long Set In Stains in One Pass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m extremely impressed with the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Carpet Cleaner. The overall cleaning power exceeded my expectations. I have a busy household with kids, and this machine handled everything I threw at it. It was able to remove long set-in stains that I honestly thought were permanent, and it even lifted hard, dried Play-Doh that had been stuck in our carpet. Seeing those spots disappear was incredibly satisfying.
The steam power function is a standout feature. I really appreciated that it uses real steam, which helped break down sticky, stuck-on messes much more effectively than a standard carpet cleaner. It made a noticeable difference on areas that usually take multiple passes to clean.
I also loved the self-cleaning cycle. It was very simple to run and made cleanup quick and hassle-free, which is a huge plus after tackling a big mess.
Setup was fast and straightforward, and the machine was very easy to use right out of the box. Overall, this carpet cleaner made a big difference in refreshing our carpets and handling tough kid-related messes. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, easy-to-use carpet cleaner.

A worthwhile home care investment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a parent, I do my best to have clean carpets, but life happens and I feel like I am constantly finding new spots that either weren’t there yesterday or I hadn’t noticed before. This Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Upright Carpet cleaner has been so useful to clean messes as well as improve the look of my carpets! Assembly is so easy and the directions are very straightforward to follow. The unit comes with everything you need to clean right away- including several cleaning solutions, an extendable hose, and several attachments to tackle a variety of messes. It is sturdy, and a little on the heavy side (I needed my husband to carry it up our stairs). So far, I’ve used this to clean several set in berry stains and mystery messes out of our carpet. This has a super fast warm up time for the steam to be ready to use and has a light to show when it’s ready. Within minutes, the SteamWash Max setting removed my stains as if they were never there! It’s very effective and I like that this uses steam vs just hot water. I also tried to use it on a grease stain from a glider in our nursery and while the stain didn’t completely disappear, it lightened and the surrounding carpet looks much more fluffy again. Cleaning the machine has a few steps, but is worth the effort based on the results of the machine. All in all, this is a worthwhile investment and something I’m very happy to have in my home moving forward, especially when we get a puppy!

Good carpet and upholstery cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently moved into a new house where the whole second floor is composed of built in carpet. Our usual handheld stick vacuum has done an okay job in cleaning, or so we though…the Bissell picked up a lot of dirt and when we used our stick vacuum again, it didn’t pick up as much dust as previously. We also tried the Bissell on a chair, which had some cheese powder stains (because kids…) and the stains were completely removed. In general, the steam power worked great, but the Bissell would have been even better if the suction for the water/steam was stronger. It took at least 12 hours for the chair to dry, and around a similar timeframe for the carpet to completely dry. The self cleaning feature was nice and definitely made cleaning it after use so much easier. Overall, quite pleased with this vacuum!

Best Hydrosteam upholstery cleaner

This carpet cleaner is very easy to put together right out of the box and easy to start using immediately after opening. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and read. The overall cleaning power is top of the line and the machine is very powerful. I was able to use the Bussell Hydrosteam to clean up some tough sticky messes very easy. Another great feature of this carpet and upholstery cleaner is the steam power function. This cleaner features a 1 gallon easy to use and clean tank and makes steam cleaning so easy and functional. I really appreciate that this Bissell uses Hydrosteam to clean which seems to clean up dirty messes faster and more efficiently .Another nice feature is the accessory hose which makes it easy to use to clean hard to spot areas especially if you have pets. The 1-piece removable brush is also nice for hard to reach areas. Another great feature of this carpet and upholstery cleaner is the self- cleaning cycle. The self- cleaning cycle is a great benefit for small stains and small spots. I also really like how this carpet cleaner has a built in pretreater function to help lift hard stains. This carpet and upholstery cleaner is really a nice machine, light weight and easy to use around your house. I would definitely recommend this cleaner to others who have pets and to those family that do not have pets. This cleaner really gets the job done. Overall, the cleaning of the machine after use is very simple and fast cleanup.
