Great Carpet Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this carpet cleaner! It is simple to use and pulled so much gunk out of our carpet! Assembly was very simple, I just had to click a few parts into place.
I thought our carpeting was relatively clean, but I was about to be proven wrong. This machine pulled up all sorts of debris, hair, dirt, dog hairs from the previous owner's pet---it was so much stuff! The dirty water tank was dark brown by the time I was done. I decided to go over it a second time to ensure I got everything I could out. My husband has allergies and after what I saw come out of our carpet I am sure this will help significantly.
The steam function was so fun to use! The machine has two main modes, a steam pretreat option that loosens up stuck on messes, like the playdough piece my toddler had forgotten on the carpet last week that had worked it's way into the fibers. The SteamWash setting uses both water and steam to thoroughly clean the carpeting. I could see the steam hitting the carpet which was very satisfying. I had to refill the clean water tank a couple times but I didn't have to empty the dirty water reservoir until I was done, it can hold a lot!
Bissell does a great job of making clean up easy. I can get all the hairs and grime out of the roller because the plastic on both the vacuum and the hose come off allowing me to wipe everything down. The hand-held hose tool also has a handy clean out mode that allows for cleaning solution to spray out and into the hose eliminating any dirty water or residue inside the tubing.
I do wish it could have removed a bit more water from the carpet. It took about 10 hours to fully dry. It isn't abnormal for a carpet cleaner, but I'm always hoping for better and getting more of that dirty water out of the carpet.
Overall, I like this machine. The steam feature makes it shine. We live busy lives but I love to keep my home clean. The Bissell Revolution helps me keep up with it all.

Great for Stuck on Messes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I think the Revolution Hydrosteam does a great job at tackling a variety of messes and stains. I used it on old food stains like chocolate on a rug. It removed it easier and faster than traditional carpet cleaners. The cleaning power is fast and strong.
I used it on an old chocolate stain on a high pile rug and it was able to lift the stain easily. I was quite surprised that it didn't need as many passes as my old upright carpet cleaner.
The Hydrosteam function definitely helped with the stain removal. I thought it was very useful and like that it uses real steam. However when you use the steam function you have to refill and empty the tanks often which is annoying and disrupts the cleaning “flow” if you know what I mean. One thing to know is that you can’t use the steam function if you use the hose attachments. It only is for the floor head. That is disappointing because steam would be great for things like car upholstery and on furniture.
This model states its has a self cleaning cycle. It works by putting the machine on the tray and adding water. It then flushes water through the brush rolls and internal lines. It doesn’t remove hair though. You still need to wipe down the brush rolls and empty the water in the tank asap to avoid any smells. Also a good thing to know is that the self cleaning features are just for the main part of the machine, the hose and hand tools must be rinsed manually. A positive part about cleaning the machine after use is the nozzle comes off easily to rinse and the brush rolls are easier to access to clean compared to older carpet cleaners.
Overall I really liked this unit, there are features that are very helpful, like the steam function and easier access to parts so that you can clean it and avoid that mildew sour stink. It cleans the messes quickly and effectively. The cons are it's large and takes up a lot of closet space so you really need a dedicated space to store it. The tanks need to be refilled pretty frequently during cleaning. I would also say the plastic doesn’t feel as thick and sturdy as my decades old Bissell, but that's how new appliances are these days. Despite those things I think the benefits outweigh the cons. It will now replace my old Bissell. It's a nice upgrade.

Fantastic Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I want to thank the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this wonderful Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Carpet Cleaner!
I’ve been really impressed with the overall cleaning power. It handled everyday messes easily and made quick work of dirt and spills. What stood out the most was how well it tackled sticky and stuck-on messes. Areas that normally require a lot of scrubbing wiped away much more easily after using it.
The steam power function is a great feature. I like that it uses real steam because it feels like it provides a deeper clean without needing a lot of additional cleaning products. The steam helped loosen tougher messes and left surfaces looking fresh.
The self-cleaning cycle was another feature I appreciated. It was simple to use and made the cleanup process after using the machine much easier. Being able to maintain the device with minimal effort is a big plus.
Overall, it made cleaning faster and more convenient, and the combination of strong cleaning power, steam capability, and the easy self-cleaning cycle makes it a helpful addition to my cleaning routine.

Very impressive Especially for Stubborn spots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Bissell cleaning machine on my living room rug. The rug is pretty light, so it shows dirt easily, and this machine pulled out a lot more dirt than I expected.
There was also a spot on the rug that had been there for a while. I focused on that area using the steam mode and after going over it a couple times the spot was completely gone. In one of the photos you can see the place where the stain used to be and now it just blends in with the rest of the rug.
The steam feature is nice because it helps loosen the dirt before the brushes clean it out. It worked really well on the areas that were a little more stubborn.
I also like the self-cleaning feature! It’s simple to run and makes cleaning the machine much easier.
I am really happy with it. The rug looks a lot cleaner and fresher than before!!!

Best carpet cleaner

The steam function is fantastic and really sets it apart from the other machines I’ve used, helping break down tough stains and messes much more effectively. It worked especially well on set-in stains and sticky messes that other cleaners struggled with. I also really like the self-cleaning feature which makes maintenance quick and convenient. Overall, it’s a powerful and well-designed cleaner that’s made a noticeable difference in how my carpets looks and feels. I would definitely recommend the cleaner!

Great Carpet cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 kids and 2 dogs and sometimes our carpets just need a little extra help. This cleaner has been wonderful! We can deep clean our carpets without outside help and the help refresh the room and make it feel more like when we first moved in. Thankfully we haven't had many crusty/stick-on messes, mostly dog hair and stains, crumbs stuck in the carpet fibers. It helped clean all of that. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that it can leave the carpet wet, and found adding extra weight to the base to increase contact and thus increase suction helped to remove more water. I'd recommend also adding fans to the room to help ensure everything fully dries! Overall we love it and will keep using it to deep clean our carpets.

Steam Is Superior

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 young kids and a dog. I need a carpet cleaner that works. I also don’t like to use detergents that have soaps in them since dirt seems to cling to the residue it leaves behind. This steam carpet cleaner was amazing and so easy to use. The machine was really easy to maneuver. Running the machine over the wet/cleaned area a few times to soak up any dampness like the instructions suggested was amazing. It cleaned so well and my carpets dried really quickly. The carpet looked clean after using it but more importantly it felt clean without leaving any residue. The machine makes really good track lines like I get when I pay a professional carpet cleaner. I was just as satisfied with using steam carpet cleaner as I am when I have a professional come. I was able to remove stains with ease. It was so satisfying watching the steam work its magic. I definitely would recommend it over other carpet cleaners.

This one is a game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is a game changer. I have never used a carpet cleaning machine that cleans the carpet as well as this one does. I had some week old salsa stains on my carpet from when my two year old decided to have chips in the living room. I spent a long time trying to get them up by hand, this machine was a miracle worker. The stains stood no chance and came up so easily and quickly I was kicking myself for not investing in a carpet cleaner years earlier.
I love that it has a large clean water capacity. There is nothing worse than constantly having to refill while in the middle of cleaning. I also really appreciate the upholstery attachment. We have two dark blue fabric chairs that are starting to show dirt marks and I’m thrilled that I can clean both my carpets and my chairs with the same thing.
I love the steam power function. It really seemed to help lift those stubborn stains right out of the carpet with little effort on my part. Overall this cleaner is just so easy to use and surprisingly easy to clean much to my delight. I abhor cleaning machines and devices after use because it’s always so tedious and difficult. Not this one. It’s a game-changer.
Overall I highly recommend the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam. It will save us so much money in the long run with keeping our carpets looking professionally cleaned at a fraction of the price.
