Incredible Steam Power
on March 13, 2026
Posted by: Samantha
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying I am not a stranger to carpet/upholstery cleaning machines. I own three separate machines from three different brands, and this is hands down the best one I have ever used. The pictures speak for themselves.
My living spaces get a ton of traffic due to two children (one that crawls everywhere) and a dog, so I needed a machine that was going to get as much grime out of the carpet as possible while also being easy to clean and operate. I am pleased to say that this carpet cleaner checks all the boxes. My carpet was riddled with mud stains, paint residue, and sticky spills; This machine tackled them all with ease! I also love the formula it came with because it left my carpets smelling amazing.
The machine itself is very easy to use. When you turn it on, you have to wait around 30 seconds for the steam function to be ready to use. After it is ready, you can press the trigger to spray formula over the surface you are working on. With this kind of machine, working slowly is key in order to allow the spinning brushes to do their job. After you have finished cleaning your desired area, the bottom part of the machine can be disassembled to clean the brush and cover with ease. The section that collects all of the water that is extracted is also easily removed, so that your hands never have to come into contact with the grime.
Overall, I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who wants an effective carpet/upholstery cleaning machine that can do both functions in one simple, easy-to-use cleaner.

Great for dog spills or kid messes but bulky
on March 13, 2026
Posted by: AnneWithKids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This steam vacuum was able to get up messes from my kids and my dogs, including baby formula in the carpet, dog throw up, and food that was grounded into the carpet. However, I found that its suction power was less than expected, as it left the carpet pretty damp when I expected it to pull up the water that was being used to steam clean. The machine itself is quite large and bulky so it’s difficult to maneuver around tight spaces like between couches and coffee tables. It is also heavy, which I thought would help. It’s section power however it didn’t seem to correlate. I did like that it used real steam instead of chemicals or abrasives to get out stains so I didn’t damage the carpet or upholstery. The buttons were easy to learn and use, and there were only a few settings possible. The self cleaning function worked okay, but I still needed to manually clean it after. It also seemed to pull up a lot of fibers out of the carpet when steaming which made the machine kind of messy to clean at the end. Overall, this machine meets the need to clean, tough stains and sticky situations out of fibers, but don’t expect it to dry the materials as well.

Powerful and satisfying clean
on March 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hydrosteam cleaner is powerful! I like that it heats up and uses steam to deodorize and sanitize without a lot of harmful chemicals. The steam appears to loosen and lift up dirt better as well. Going over the carpet with a wet pass then a few dry passes to suck up most of the surface moisture helped it dry a little faster. My rug was nearly dry in less than a couple of hours, though I would definitely wait overnight before using it.
While it is powerful, it is also very loud. With the included instructions, it was fairly easy to put together, though not entirely intuitive. It did leak all over at first but I believe it was user error. Every time I paused or stopped the machine, it also spurted out water on the bottom. But while it was wet, it was not a large puddle. It also required more passes to clean deep-seated dirt. It honestly didn’t look like it was removing any old stains or grime but the dirty water tank at the end told a different story--it had sludge on the bottom when poured out.
All the accessories and tools that came with the machine are very well thought out, down to the hose in a bag. There aren’t too many parts to clean and they’re not too hard to take apart and clean. Even included is a long tool that removes hair from the brush roll on one end and cleans out the nozzle on the other end. Also, the self-cleaning mode for the tool was magic! With just a click, it looked like it went into reverse mode from dirty to clean. I am very happy not to have to spend a lot of money renting a machine or hiring a commercial cleaner. I can’t wait to use this on more applications, like cleaning upholstered car seats that we’ve been needing to deep clean.

Cleans amazingly well for our active family of 9

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try out the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam, perfect timing because I was actually in the market for a new steam cleaner. There are a few things I absolutely love about this steam cleaner...
1) it's not as loud as other steam cleaners I've used.
2) The steam feature was actually pretty cool, and I do feel like it cleaned better than my previous steam cleaner. It also makes me feel like things are actually getting clean not just looking clean.
3) It's not as bulky as other models I've used which is helpful because I am 5'2. When these things are full of water they can be harder to maneuver, but this one is easy.
4) I appreciate how easy it is to clean! The simplicity makes it a breeze.

Bissel Steam Carpet cleaner does the job
on March 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My photos show a before and after, you'll see how well it worked on our neutral grey carpet by our highly trafficked front door. But first, the Bissel is much lighter and easier to push and pull than our last heavy, bulky carpet cleaner, its medium-small compact size makes it easy to store in the closet next to the vacuum cleaner, and it's simple to assemble out of the box.
There's a tank for clean water plus cleaning solution and another tank for the dirty water suctioned off the carpet, both very simple to take off to fill or empty and then place back on the unit for use. The instruction booklet is clear and easy to understand, and the bag of attachments that comes in the box work great. Uncomplicated.
I chose the MAX Clean plus Protect solution that came in the box, not the Pet solution since we don't have pets... but we do have a three year old that spilled black coffee on the carpet many months ago.
After the unit preps the steam, you pull the trigger on the handle to dispense, release it to stop, and do passes back and forth to massage and suction the solution back into the dirty tank. I suggest more than a pass or two than the instructions say to make sure you're being thorough. The attachments were simple to use, too.
But the real steam is what separates this unit from the rest -- it's like you're steam cleaning and shampoo-ing at the same time, and I have to say I was very impressed with the results. You can see in the first photo how dirty the carpet was, then in photo two what the carpet looked like just after cleaning, and the third photo is of the cleaning solution and the overall look of the carpet the day after.
Some stuck-on dried applesauce from a few days ago lifted out of the carpet with just a few passes over the area.
Granted, these photos may not do it justice but once we can do another round in a few months I have no doubt our carpet will be as nice as it can be -- not new, but next to new. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Great Easy to Use Carpet Cleaner
on March 13, 2026
Posted by: maria827
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many upright carpet cleaners over the years so I consider myself pretty well versed in carpet cleaners. We also have two dogs, a cat, and a toddler so cleaning messes is our specialty. First, I'll just say that this is a beautiful, sleek carpet cleaner. It is very aesthetically pleasing and I love the black with bronze accents. Second, the instruction manual was VERY clear and concise. The pictures were very easy to understand and I had no issues assembling or figuring out how to work the cleaner. After using this product, I do feel as though the cleaning action of this carpet cleaner is great. I even used it on what appeared to be a fairly clean portion of the carpet and it removed so much dirt not visible to the eye! I loved the self cleaning aspect of the hand held portion as well as how easy it was to clean the head of the main cleaner. I have had other carpet cleaners without either of those and it quickly became very dirty and was difficult to impossible to clean. The cleaner moved around smoothly and heated up quickly. I really like the ability to steam without suction for really difficult to clean messes as well. The cleaner included had a clean but not overbearing scent which was nice.
I do wish the suction was just slightly stronger in order to remove even more of the water and cleaner from the carpet but even so, it was only left slightly damp not a significant issue. I also have some concerns that the different cleaning attachments that go on the hand held portion may not hold up with repeated changing of them. However, that has yet to be truly determined.
I feel strongly that this carpet cleaner will stand up to all of our many messes and be much easier to operate and clean!

The BEST carpet cleaner around
on March 13, 2026
Posted by: MomOfTwo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must say the Bissell Hydrosteam Revolution is hands down the best carpet cleaner I have ever tried (and as a mom of two under 5 I've tried a bunch)! I used this in my living room carpet (which sees a ton of traffic / spills / etc.) and two of my upholstered chairs. I'm actually still waiting for everything to dry, at which point I'll post after photos but WOW - my experience using this was phenomenal.
I'll start by saying that I vacuumed the entire are I was planning on cleaning first to get up anything I could. I used a high quality vacuum but based on how much gunk the Hydrosteam picked up I may consider buying a new vacuum because...gross!! I could tell the Hydrosteam had incredibly high suction throughout the cleaning process and the photo of the dirty water container included in this review speak for itself!!
This cleaner was also easy to use - completely idiot-proof (or really great for busy moms who don't have time to read all the instructions). Completely intuitive and has a great steam feature for pretreating stains before applying cleaning solution!!
I even used the handheld attachment piece to clean my upholstered kitchen chairs. Easy to do and it was super effective!
Another major win with the Hydrosteam is how easy it was to clean once I was done using it! I've had so many handheld or vacuum carpet cleaners that had too many nooks and crannies which I could never get quite clean and then never fully dried - and I would frequently put them aside bc cleaning them after use was such a pain - well then I had to deal with mold and gross water that I just couldn't ever fully address. Yuck all around!! Not with the Hydrosteam - no hard to clean nooks or crannies on either the dirty water or the clean water tanks! I quickly removed the brush cover and removed tons of hair / carpet material afterwards as well.
I cannot say enough good things about the Hydrosteam Revolution - I'll be recommending it to friends and family and it is not a regular part of my deep clean arsenal!!

Very Solid Carpet Steamer
on March 13, 2026
Posted by: Andrew
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had the luxury of using an upright carpet steamer in quite some time as hauling the massive one from my parents house is always a chore. When I unpacked the Hydrosteam I was pleasantly surprised on its over size and build quality. Design wise it’s simple enough to quickly assemble from open, and then read through the first couple pages to make sure you understand what the modes on the rocker switch perform. Fill it up with solution and you’re ready to go. It needs 35 seconds to come up to temp for steam production and then you can pretreat a spot or go right into the steam/suction mode. I was excited to try it on my kids playroom first as we just got new carpet 6 months ago. With 2 kids and a dog the carpet has already gotten some invisible abuse. The carpet itself looked great minus one key stain I targeted. Despite its modest appearance, the waste water canister was very clearly dirty and helped solidify how well this machine was able to clean. I did need to do a few passes on the specific stain but to be fair it’s been set for well over a month. The steaming works and it’s just tap water and solution. I was able to complete the room and a runner with the entire 1 gallon tank which used about half the solution in the mini samples included. I probably used more steam in the playroom than was needed but it was my first attempt and the window of time to clean that room is narrow. Clean up of the steamer was pretty simple, parts all pop out pretty easily and rinse under the faucet. Quick dry in the basin and then back on before I store it away. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the Hydrosteam. Functionally it doesn’t have too much to complain about. Plenty of power and useful attachments. My only complaints are that it does seem to use a lot of the solution mixture and the carpet itself was more damp than I felt it should have been after multiple passes. Lastly, the rose/copper trim is made of plastic, I had assumed before opening it that it may have been metal which would have made it appear more premium. Not a dealbreaker by any means just an observation.
