A Lifesaver for Potty Training Rug Accidents

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I thought about the overall cleaning power is that it’s been very effective at cleaning my rugs. I’m currently potty training my 2-year-old, and it has made handling potty training accidents so much easier. As a parent, being able to quickly clean stains as they happen is incredibly helpful, and having a machine with steam cleaning feels like such a win in our house. It honestly feels like one of the best tools to have on hand when you have little kids and carpets.
For everyday spills, it does a great job as long as the mess hasn’t been sitting for a couple of days. If it has, you may need to run over the area a few times to get it looking its best. I haven’t tested it on really sticky messes yet, but for things like urine, milk spills, juice, and water on my rugs it has handled them well. I also really love the steam feature. Being able to disinfect and clean at the same time is one of my favorite parts, and seeing the cleaning happen in real time gives me confidence that my rugs are getting a deep clean.
The self-cleaning cycle is another feature I appreciate. It’s straightforward to use and helps rinse out the machine after cleaning so you’re not leaving residue sitting inside. It makes the maintenance process feel much easier and quicker after finishing a cleaning session. My one small complaint is that once the machine is turned off and you pull it away, it tends to drip a bit of water as you move it. When it’s stowed away, it can also leave a few drops of water where it was sitting. Aside from that minor issue, it really does work like a charm.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Powerful Cleaner for Carpet and Upholstery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revolution HydroSteam has been a game changer this past week on my carpet and upholstery! The machine is super easy to set up. I also love how the water levels and chemical levels are clearly marked on the tank so you are confident on the amount to add without needing to measure. Almost immediately I could tell how powerful this cleaner is. The suction is impressive and really pulls the dirt and stuck on particles up from the carpet. My tank water was very brown when I finished a high traffic room! Recently, my child got some sticky candy on a throw pillow. There was also some stubborn dog urine stains and hot chocolate stains on a rug for over a year. Using the attachment for the pillow and the cleaner for the floor, I pretreated with the steam and then went over the stains using the solution and steam. It did a wonderful job getting rid of the sticky residue and pulling up the stains on the carpet. While they aren’t 100% gone, it’s a huge improvement! The steam really helps make a difference in performance on cleaning up tough stains- as a bonus I feel like I am sanitizing the areas in my home, too! I felt the clean water in the tank was used up quicker with the steam option, but I’m ok with that knowing my floors are getting the best cleaning treatment. The self-cleaning cycle is easy to do. I appreciate the cleaning tools to make clean up more efficient. I am hoping it makes a difference in keeping lines clean from build up or mold. I wish the tanks had a vent so they can dry quicker. A longer power cord would make it easier to clean larger rooms, too. Overall, this is the best cleaner I’ve ever owned, and it’s sharp looking, too with its black and copper accents!

Decent Everyday Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overall cleaning power was decent, but not outstanding. It picked up surface dirt well, but I noticed it struggled a bit with deeper stains and required multiple passes in some areas.
For sticky or stuck-on messes, the machine did an okay job. It loosened some of the grime, but I still had to go over tough spots more than once, and sometimes needed to pre-treat them.
The steam power function is a nice feature, and I do appreciate that it uses real steam. However, I didn’t notice a dramatic difference compared to regular cleaning modes. The steam helped a little with fresh stains, but older messes were still challenging.
Overall, the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is a solid cleaner for everyday messes, but it doesn’t quite live up to the hype for tougher jobs. The steam feature is a plus, and maintenance is straightforward, but I expected a bit more cleaning power.

It Is Worth It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough good things about the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam! They have seriously “thought of it all” when it comes to this carpet and upholstery cleaner.
From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed by the stylish black and gold design (cause let’s face it…it’s WAY more fun to clean when you are cleaning with something pretty! ;) ). But the easy set up and simple steps to begin carpet cleaning was what really won me over from the get-go. As a busy mom of three little ones, I needed something that required little effort, but great results. I’m happy to say…this was it!
I love the steam power function. I had a VERY, set in, big stain on our carpet from the previous owners. We have tried everything to get it out and nothing ever comes close to helping it. I have no clue what it was from, but it reminds me of black dried tar or something. Well, after using the steam power max function and going back and forth over it a few times…I’d say it’s about halfway gone already! Now, that’s really saying something since everything else we have tried has not touched it a single bit over the last several years! It’s SO much better than it was before.
I also love that I can clean upholstery and rugs with the hose and attachments it comes with. They even thought to include a spraying crevice tool to get to the hard to reach areas along the edges of the rooms!
I have an old rug that I’ve been saving to use the tough stain tool and brush attachment on and wow….it made it look brand new again! It only took about 3 minutes…SO easy!
After I was done, I used the self cleaning cycle for the hose and attachments so that cleanup was a breeze, as well.
Overall, I thought that the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam did a fantastic job. Not only did it help tremendously with hard, set-in stains, and making the carpet look good again…..but it left my carpet smelling so much better and (thanks to the steam power) made it SO much cleaner for my little ones to play and crawl around on. The steam is really what sets this carpet cleaner apart in my opinion!!
All of this, AND it was super easy to use. Cleanup was fast and simple once done.
The only thing I will say is that I recommend going ahead and purchasing a bigger bottle of the carpet cleaner solution. It does come with two different types of cleaning solution, but they are small sample bottles. I would say if you have more than just a couple of rooms you are planning to do at once with the same type of cleaning solution, do yourself a favor and go ahead and have the other on hand so you don’t have to pause your cleaning and head to the store :)

If you have a dog then you need this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a steam cleaner in my life, but when this arrived, I was genuinely so excited to try it, I went out and cleaned nearly every carpeted or rugged surface in my home in 48 hours. So I’m now well accustomed to it. And it works - well! My biggest “issue” was not vacuuming beforehand in one instance - which Bissel tells you specifically to do, so shame on me - which led to excess dog hair getting caught on the rotating elements. Otherwise, I had no issues. Carpet generally comes back clean and fairly dry though I think I need to improve my technique of removing all liquid and some spots remained damp a bit longer than expected. Still, it’s every satisfying to use and the size and steam elements are very practical.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fresh and Clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With 2 Littles under 2 and 2 dogs in the house, the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam isn’t just another appliance in our house. It’s definitely a main character. I’ve used it on pet stains, old stains, coffee stains, and just for overall deep-cleaning of our carpets and I’m impressed every time I use it. I also am really happy with how much money I save. We used to pay a professional company every time we had a stain, but now I can do it myself. I was skeptical about the power of the steam to pre-treat, but I was proven wrong after just 1 pass with the machine. The key is to vacuum your carpet first, then use the Hydrosteam in the Steam Pretreat setting, and then go SLOW back and forth over the area you’re targeting in the SteamWash mode. Don’t stop until you stop seeing water droplets being sucked up into the hose or else your carpet will take forever to dry. If you want an easy, effective, and economical way to keep your carpets super clean and fresh, I highly recommend you invest in the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam carpet cleaner.

Hydrosteam a lifesaver for parents

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam impressed me from start to finish. The first room that I cleaned with it was an enclosed porch with cream carpet. It lifted stains from shoes that I haven’t been able to get up in years. The directions were clear, and assembly was as simple as snapping a few parts together. The next room I did was my children’s playroom. Even though we don’t allow food in there the Hydrosteam did bring up the food they’ve managed to get stuck on the carpet with ease.
The biggest perk that I want to stress the most is that the dirty water reservoir is much improved, easy to clean, with a removable top. When I emptied it, it had brought up so much dirt that there was actually a half inch layer on the bottom of the container that rinsed out quickly.
I was tickled to see the steam billowing out from the sides of the machine and I truly feel that made a large difference in the cleaning ability.
Usually when writing a review I try to list some pros and cons so that people know all of the good and bad but I do have to say that I found no cons while using this product. It’s been a lifesaver and down the road if this ever needs replacing (because with two toddlers we clean messes often) I would absolutely replace it with the same model.

A Deep Deep Clean Worth the Storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Carpet Cleaner, and after just a few uses, I’m already very impressed!
To put it simply: I have mostly white carpets… along with two black dogs, two kids, and one very clumsy me. So my carpets definitely see their fair share of messes.
The machine itself is a bit of a behemoth, so storage can be tricky if you don’t have much extra space. That said, the cleaning power makes it worth it. I’ve used the SteamWash Max setting on some of the most heavily trafficked areas in our home, and while I was very satisfied with the results, I was also a little disgusted by how dirty the water was afterward—which honestly just proves how well it works! The carpet overall is more brightened and fresh looking!
There are several small stains throughout my carpet that noticeably faded after just one use. They aren’t completely gone yet, but I was impressed that they improved so much right away.
Our outdated dining room unfortunately still has carpet, so when my baby dropped spaghetti sauce on it, I was nervous—but the cleaner handled it with no problem at all.
The real steam cleaning feature is a big plus for me because it feels like the carpet is getting an extra deep clean. Cleaning the machine afterward was also surprisingly simple. It did collect some dog hair, but it was easy to remove from the catch and clean tray.
Honestly, I never thought I’d say this about a carpet cleaner, but I actually look forward to using it. Now when a spill happens, I don’t dread the cleanup nearly as much!
