High Power and Superior Clean with Steam

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an incredible carpet cleaner! I have 7 kids, age 1-13, and as any person who interacts with kids knows, they make a lot of messes. You name the potential stain, I’m sure one of my children has left it behind on my carpet at one time or another. I am a longtime fan of Bissell products and have owned their floor cleaners, hand helds, and carpet cleaners. The Revolution Hydrosteam is by far my new favorite! This machine has power!! I appreciate that the steam came to temperature quickly and totally added to the cleaning power of the machine. I used it in the office/playroom where my kids frequently play with play-dough and use expo markers, while eating the occasional lolly pop. With a few passes, the Revolution Hydrosteam effortlessly removed the stains! The suction power is superior and my carpet was left the slightest bit damp after cleaning. I also brought the machine to my son’s room where he puked a few months ago. At the time I cleaned and disinfected the carpet with my hand held followed by my carpet cleaner. The carpet looks clean but the texture was a little off and I could still detect a slight odor. The Revolution Hydrosteam has eradicated the odor and the texture is back to normal. What a life saver!! Cleanup was a breeze. The dirty water tank has a large opening that makes it easy to clean and disinfect. I like how the black tray inside the brush roll cover can be removed. It was easy to wash and wipe out all the carpet lint that can get stuck in other machines. The only improvement I’d make is to extend the power cord. I found it to be a little short for some of my rooms. I don’t often use the hand held tough stain tool, but I do appreciate its self cleaning capability. Anything that can clean itself is a plus in my book! Overall, the Revolution Hydrosteam is a powerful carpet cleaner. The steam truly sets it apart from other carpet cleaners and adds to the stain cleaning power of this machine.

Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Carpet Cleaner

From the first use, it was clear that this machine is incredibly powerful and well-designed. The HydroSteam technology makes a noticeable difference as it loosens and lifts deep, stubborn dirt and stains.
My carpets look almost brand new after cleaning. High-traffic areas that had years of buildup are now bright and refreshed. I was especially impressed with how well it handled tough spots. It pulls an incredible amount of dirt out of the carpet, which you can literally see in the dirty water tank.
Another thing I love is how easy it is to use. The machine feels sturdy but not overly heavy, and the controls are simple and intuitive. The separate clean and dirty water tanks make filling and emptying quick and mess-free. It also dries carpets faster than I expected, which is a huge plus.
Overall, the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam delivers professional-level results at home. If you want a carpet cleaner that is powerful, reliable, and easy to use, this one is absolutely worth it. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to bring their carpets back to life.

Hello cleaner carpets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell revolution hydrostream is an excellent vacuum and carpet cleaner. I love how easy it is to set up straight out of the box. Insert the handle, and pretty much ready to go. The Clean water tank is simple to fill up with the carpet cleaner solution and water. I will say the solution runs out very quickly especially if you have large stains in the carpet. I was able to clean multiple rooms at my house and the carpets look very clean. I was impressed to see how dirty it was to begin with. Now I feel like my house is a lot cleaner especially having kids running around the carpet all day long. The vacuum itself comes with a few accessories to clean couche and other spot treat areas. It has a built-in steam function that is ready and no more than 35 seconds, I timed it and it's fairly accurate. I'm able to pre-treat certain spots in the carpet using just steam and then deep clean and shampoo right after. I love that feature. The only thing I would say that is kind of a bummer for me is the drying feature as it takes quite some time to dry. Not a deal breaker but would be nice for a quick dry function that is powerful. The holding the handle down and release to dry is something to get used to as well. It's not overly loud compared to other vacuums I've used before but it definitely isn't quite. It does the job well, it is very effective. It's also a bit bulky and heavy but is expected from carpet cleaners.

My New Secret Weapon for Rugs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a teacher and a mom of four, my floors have seen it all from spilled juice and muddy footprints to things I can't even identify. I need tools that work fast and don't require a manual the size of a textbook. This Bissell Revolution HydroSteam is a total game changer for a busy household.
Right out of the box, this was so easy to put together and use. I didn't even have to hunt down a screwdriver, which is a huge win when you're multitasking. One of my favorite small details is the water tank cap. It actually stays open on its own while you're filling it, so there is no fumbling around or making a mess at the sink. Plus, I could get started the second I opened it because it comes with two cleaning solutions ready to go.
I was genuinely shocked by the cleaning power. My kitchen runner looked "clean enough," but once I started, the dirty water tank told a different story. It pulled up so much hidden gunk and murky grey water. The colors in my rug actually look bright and vibrant again. It is incredibly satisfying to see that level of deep clean. I did notice it left behind some water droplets on the rug at first, but with a quick run over again they were gone and the floor was good to go.
With four kids, "sticky" is a permanent state of being in my house. This machine tackled those dried on kitchen spills without me having to scrub on my hands and knees. It just lifted the mess right out of the fibers with very little effort on my part.
The HydroSteam function is my favorite feature. It uses real steam, and you can really tell the difference. It feels like a much deeper and more sanitary clean than just using lukewarm water. Knowing I am actually steaming out the grime in 35 seconds makes me feel so much better about the kids playing on the floor.
As a busy mom, the last thing I want is a cleaning tool that I have to spend thirty minutes cleaning. The self cleaning cycle for the hose is so easy to use. You just let it do its thing, and it flushes out the hose and small roller so the machine stays fresh and ready for the next "oops" moment. It took me no time to clean that grime out of the tank. It was simple to clean the nozzle, too! Final Grade: A+! If you have a busy household with kids or pets, you need this in your closet (it is a little bigger, so definitely need a good space for storage). It is fast, effective, and actually makes deep cleaning feel like less of a chore.

Perfect for Messy Kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall cleaning power on this machine was incredible. The nasty dirty water that came from our floors was impressive. I used this right after vacuuming, and I was shocked by how much dust and hair this also pulled up from our carpet.
Thankfully we didn’t have any super crazy messes to tackle, but our entryway rug did have a good number of blemishes and this took care of all of those.
The steam power function was nice and made it feel like a better clean, especially appreciated that as some of the rugs we were cleaning were white and needed to be extra clean.
The only thing that we found tricky was the machine cleaning time after and the time to make sure all the pieces are clean, but since this isn’t a tool we will use extremely frequently, that certainly wouldn’t be a reason not to purchase - as it otherwise performs exceptionally to get things clean.

My New Household Cleaning Staple

As a mom of three kids under 6 and a “dog mom” to a very active Australian Shepherd, keeping our home clean can feel like a full-time job, especially during muddy Iowa spring days. Between little feet, snack spills, and muddy paws coming in from outside, our carpets and upholstery take a beating. Since all of our bedrooms are carpeted, plus a carpeted basement and several area rugs throughout the house, having a powerful carpet and upholstery cleaner isn’t optional for us, it’s essential. The BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam has truly become a new staple in our home!
I was honestly so impressed with the overall cleaning power. The suction is strong to ensure it gets every type of stain and mess. It made our carpets look noticeably brighter and refreshed after just one use. Areas that had started to look dull from everyday life (kids, dog, and everything in between) came back to life. It feels like it’s actually deep cleaning instead of just surface cleaning, which gives me peace of mind knowing our home is truly clean.
With young kids, sticky messes are just part of daily life.. juice spills, snack crumbs, and the occasional mystery spot. The HydroSteam did an amazing job tackling those tougher spots that normally take multiple passes with other cleaners. Even older stains in high-traffic areas lifted much easier than I expected.
One of my favorite features is the steam power. I really appreciate that it uses real steam, combined with water and the BISSELL cleaning formula, to penetrate deeper into the carpet fibers. You can actually see the difference it makes when dealing with stubborn stains. It feels like that extra level of cleaning power you don’t always get with standard carpet cleaners.
The self-cleaning cycle is such a smart feature especially for busy families. After cleaning a big area, the last thing I want is another long cleaning process for the machine itself. The self-cleaning cycle was super simple to use and made the whole process quick and hassle-free.
Overall, the BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam has exceeded my expectations. It handles everything our busy household throws at it and has made our carpets and upholstery look new again. If you have kids, pets, or just want a powerful carpet cleaner that truly gets the job done, I highly recommend it! It’s definitely earned a permanent spot in our cleaning routine.

Good carpet cleaner but with faulty piece

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this Bissell Hydrosteam carpet cleaner to clean the area rug in my living room. It has seen a lot of foot traffic the past few years, and needing cleaning bad! The Hydrosteam was great at the initial run through. The steam helped to break down the old set it dirt, and the solution helped to clean up the rest. The self cleaning feature was neat also! I wanted to do another run through, however one of the suspension bands broke so the machine became no longer usable. I was disappointed in this given the price point of the machine.

Fresh and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam is exactly what I was looking for. We have a lot of carpet and rugs in our old house and with pets and kids, we were in desperate need of a new carpet cleaner. The steam cleaning is a really cool feature on this machine and (not that this is too important) the machine itself is actually very cute. Assembly takes less than 5 minutes and it really is a breeze to start using. Once turned on, the vacuum heats up and a light turns on to indicate the steam feature is ready. You can literally see the carpet being steamed as you use it, which makes me feel like it is really getting clean. The side by side of my rugs is unbelievable - completely revived! The soap that came with the machine smells nice, but isn’t too fragrant and it worked wonders. I also love that I can purchase soap refills separately. The suction of the vacuum leaves my carpets and rugs damp but not soaking wet which I appreciate. It actually dries way faster than when I’ve used other machines in the past. Emptying and cleaning the vacuum is also pretty simple, though I will say there are several chambers and parts in the cleaning manual. I probably am not cleaning my machine by the book every time, but it seems to function fine. Overall, I’m really happy with this carpet cleaner and foresee it getting lots of good use in our house!
