Bought to use with T-Sat.. Bloatware annoying.
on July 27, 2026
Posted by: Influencer
I bought this because I needed a device that supported standalone T-Sat for use in remote areas. It was the second to least expensive devices (least expensive was the Moto G non-power).
T-Sat works fine.
I hate all the bloatware that Moto includes, much of which cannot be uninstalled.
Response from motorola.comBy MitchMotorola Customer CareJuly 28, 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Influencer. We’re glad to hear that your Moto G Power 2025 is working well with T-Sat and meeting your connectivity needs in remote areas. We understand your concerns regarding pre-installed applications and how they can affect the overall experience. Some apps that come pre-installed on Motorola devices are included to provide additional features, services, or carrier-specific functionality. While certain system apps cannot be removed, many downloaded apps or optional applications can be uninstalled or disabled through Settings > Apps > See all apps. We appreciate your feedback about the apps included on the device and will share your comments with the appropriate teams as we continue working to improve the user experience. Thank you for choosing Motorola.

Get the extended warranty, you might need it.
on July 27, 2026

I had the phone less than 2 months when it died. Warranty repair took about a week in which time I bought a 2025 Power. When I received the Stylus 2024 back the report said they had replaced the main board, the USB board, the sound board, and the battery. The replacement didn't finish setup before it hung and was stuck on setup finishing every boot after. So I was back to another week+ without that phone and I ended up having to wipe the 2025 Power to give it to a child going out of state so I was another day without any phone. They replaced the main board again and this time it appears stable. However I lost a bunch of text messages and other inbound stuff in the various mobile phone do-si-dos. Also, they original warranty didn't get extended even though they replaced what I would assume is a good portion of components. This leads me to believe they know something is wrong in this model's quality. I had a Stylus 2023 that has a cracked screen and the fingerprint reader went out but it functioned and survived through it's warranty period at least.

Battery defective
on June 12, 2026

I've owned several moto phones and purchased a moto G 5G 2025 to replace my Nokia G50. I love the phone,, like I have all my Moto's, but the battery on this phone must be defective. I can start at 90% at 7am; and by 3pm, with only moderate use, it's down to 10%. That is not acceptable for a 4 month old phone....

Missing Call Recording, File Manager & Update 16 ?
on May 8, 2026
Posted by: Seven7
Hello Motorola Team,
I have a few questions and feedback regarding my Motorola phone. Please answer step by step and clearly, because your response can also help many other Motorola users and customers.
1. My first question is: Android 15 is currently available, so when will Android 16 be released for our devices?
2. Call recording works properly, but after recording a call, where can we listen to those recordings again? I have been searching for almost one month in settings and on the internet, but I still cannot find the recordings. Please explain where the call recordings are stored and why they do not appear in the File Manager.
3. Why is there no direct File Manager app easily available? I have to go into Settings and search for “Files” every time to open it. This process feels too long and inconvenient. Please improve this through an update and fix these issues.
4. I keep receiving small Google updates of only a few MBs, but Android system updates are not coming. Even many low-priced phones in the market are already getting Android 16 updates. Please explain this properly step by step.
Please provide a helpful and detailed response so that all Motorola users can understand these things easily.
Thank you.

Okay... But not what I expected

Got the phone for free when I bought service through Straight Talk. There was no 30w charger with the phone, only the cord and I had to buy a block that takes the type C cord. The battery is awful and getting worse. Alarms are randomly silenced or just do not go off. The volume in general is terrible, it's always way too loud . I never get notifications when I receive a message now. Also games will be randomly downloaded even with the game hub disabled. It's also very slow now and takes up to an hour to receive text messages or RCS chats now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
