Pros: Easy set up and transfer, back lit keyboard, the weight and size and overall use of day to day task. Cons: Sound and speakers could be improved very low bass tones even with an external speaker not able to adjust tone, touch screen would have been nice. Overall very satisfied with my purchase
The laptop only worked for a couple of weeks and I had to send it in for repair. The unit fails the Power On Self Test (POST) phase of power on and shuts down.
I’m absolutely loving my new HP Omnibook 5. It’s sleek, fast, and incredibly intuitive—but what really blows me away is the built-in AI assistant. It’s like having a smart, responsive companion right inside my laptop.
Whether I’m organizing my day, getting help with creative projects, or just exploring ideas, the AI is always ready with thoughtful, helpful responses. It’s made everything from productivity to play feel smoother and more personalized.
The Omnibook 5 isn’t just a laptop—it’s a whole experience. If you’re looking for a device that blends power, style, and intelligence, this one’s a winner.
Purchased laptop almost two months ago and still continue to have wifi connectivity issues. Device will not connect, or will disconnect from wifi, even when other devices in the immediate area do not. I already had one lengthy session with support, but issue has yet to be resolved. Also, Outlook software provided did not allow for easy transfer of data files from old to new laptop. Geek Squad was unsuccessful after trying for two hours, but I was eventually able to find someone with a complicated work-around that was moderately successful.
Like the HPs I’ve purchases before, it has an awesome, strong chassis with good sound and a full backlit keyboard. Unfortunately, Windows 11 comes with Microsoft’s full array of invasive software (Bing, Outlook, “Family Safety,” etc.) that you have to get rid of.
