This set is amazing. The build experience was fun, the play features are amazing, it doesn’t break easily like Bumblebee, and both forms look amazing. Overall the only downside to the set is the price due to things like the sound block, but if you have the money for it I’d say it’s worth the buy.

I already owned the Optimus Prime model, which is excellent. This looked promising. Overall I'm very satisfied. My only complaint is that the hands and arms aren't properly concealed in its alt-mode. It would also be cool to have more of his cassette warriors available, even if they were sold separately. But it's a good solid build, highly poseable and stable, and the sound brick is a nice touch. (Another suggestion: replace the sound brick with a Bluetooth speaker module?)

Old line but very true. Trying to figure out what your making with each step is part of unraveling the fun.
I decided that Soundwave wasn't complete without Megatron. So...I created my own using some spare Lego components. I even made my own version of Soundwave (non transformable).

Man, this thing is awesome. He scales well with the other transformers, he looks good, and he has a exellent play experiance. there are things that I would like to modify, but this thing is awesome. Now give us megatron

Soundwave was my favorite G1 toy as a kid. When I saw him in Lego form I knew I had to have it.
The build is fairly simple and straightforward. Some neat techniques to give it movement.
Soundwave in his robot form is awesome. I love his look and how poseable he his. Downside to how poseable he is is that some of the joints are somewhat weak. The arm holding the gun has to be lowered or it just falls to the floor. Every time I touched the arm to move it or transform it, the fingers and/or hand fell off.
The tape recorder mode feels incomplete. The arms just sit in the back and look horrendous. I don’t envy the designers task of making it transform at all, but it isn’t good. Parts of the feet, hands and even a leg fell off while transforming it also. For me it was incredibly frustrating.
I live the way Razorbeak looks in both tape and bird forms.
Ravage was not nearly as good. His tape form doesn’t remotely look like a tape, and the dog form isn’t much better.

I will be keeping him in his robot form since that look is awesome, I just wish it was the best it could be.

I was thrilled to hear we are getting another transformer, as I have waited my whole life for this. I am just disappointed as the cost of this. As a child I would have never been able to get this toy and it is disappointing to know there are kids out there who will never get to enjoy how amazing of a set this is. Other than price I have no complaints, this is by far the best transformer they have released and I pray they continue to keep this going.

Soundwave came in the mail today, already started working on him. So far I'm very impressed with the engineering that's gone into the model. I do have a question concerning the sound module though. I understand why Soundwave got one, he's a boom box. But are there any plans to release a voice module for Optimus and Bumblebee? Sounds like something that would be very well received by customers.
