I understand that this warning label is required, but Lego should figure out how not to destroy the box. I used to collect Lego sets, I would build it, but the box was still part of my display. Lego needs to stop using coin batteries, go to AAA or just remove the features that the Lego set doesn’t need, or sell a separate “lighting kit” with the huge warning label on it. I want my box art back, it is disgusting that I have to try and import sets at a premium cost just to get a box without a label that takes up almost a 1/4 of the cover.
While trying to build lazer beak, the bricks would not stay together.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble building Laserbeak. That definitely shouldn't be the case. If any parts of your LEGO® Transformers: Soundwave set aren’t holding together as they should, we’d be happy to help troubleshoot! Just give us a shout at LEGO.build/Service-BV, and we’ll do our best to get you back on track.
The interactive elements on this model are multitudinous and all of them are extremely fun and addictive to mess with. Every button and click is tactile, and I feel sorry for the ingot piece that opens the cassette bay, because it will soon be worn down to a stump from how often I press the button just to see the screen pop open again and again. Ravage and Laserbeak were nice as built-in appetizers, lending a natural foretaste to what building their owner would be like. Lego Transformers have had a special place in my heart since I was in middle school; every day I would come home from class, break out my box of pieces, and turn on the latest MINDxBENDER video, trying to implement the techniques he used into my own transforming vehicles. This set reminded me that the fondness for the craft never goes away. I don't imagine he'll collect any dust on my desk. The hands fell apart pretty easily during construction, but that's the only downside of this model to be honest. I plan on making MOCs of Soundwave's other recordicons to broaden out his family, so the fun doesn't really end with the set itself. Can't wait for more official Transformers down the line!! (Hopefully Wheeljack??)
Don’t build Lego much mostly due to the price and the lack of space for display. My wife enjoys Lego but never builds the sets, keeps them mint in the original box to sell later once they become a retired product. I purchased the Optimus prime set and enjoy it thoroughly. I passed on the bumblebee set cuz I think it could’ve been better designed. Couldn’t pass up Soundwave.
Very enjoyable to build the set, but doesn't seem sturdy enough during the transformations. Bricks pop off, maybe a leg comes out of the socket, etc. It can get cumbersome. I'll revisit this after I spray some adhesive on it to try to hold things together.
Everything is pretty cool except the price and the fact that it falls apart when you try to transform it. This seems like a set that would be a contender for gluing together to make it more durable. I think that is probably a big no-no for Lego building though. I don't know, I am just a casual builder and don't know all the rules.

Thanks for the feedback! We're glad you like the set, but we're sorry to hear Soundwave isn't holding together during transformation. Gluing bricks isn’t recommended, but we’re happy to help if parts aren’t staying put — just reach out at LEGO.build/Service-BV.
This was a dope build. From the eject button to the transformation. This is my favorite transformer so far. Very accurate to the cartoon I grew up with. Definitely a step up from the disappointing Bumblebee build. Still hate how Bee’s windshield has to come off and set into place vs a legit transformation like Prime.
I do wish Lego would stop providing stickers to place on in the middle of the build and just print the pieces with the necessary logos/pictures.
Also, I need more than 1 transformer every 2/3 years LEGO! Lol
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got sound wave for myself and I thought this set is awesome. I built him. It was great, and then I tried to display him he stands up very straight and awesome. However, the arms can't hold themselves up. This is the worst part they fall so he just sag them by his side. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a Lego set. Why would they have arms that can't hold themselves up they could've just used a stronger connection. Do better Lego.
