This makes the 112th set that I have purchased from Lego and so far it is the absolute best set I have ever put together. The only set that comes close. Is the UCS razor crest. The build experience, the play features the mobility the way, this thing transforms and all the little features with it Are awesome. I use my insider points to get a little bit of a discount on this set, but I would gladly pay full price for another one and I think I just might. It seems to me that Lego sets are just getting better and better as time goes on. I’m just excited and looking forward to whatever is coming next in the transformers line.

Really clever engineering and super fun build. Ravage and Laserbeak are well designed, Soundwave looks super awesome. He's got much better articulation and stability than Lego Optimus.

I grew up with Beast Wars rather than G1 Transformers, but if you had asked me which Transformers I would want Lego models of Optimus Prime and Soundwave would be top of that list. I’m very excited to have both of these on my shelf now. They’re great building experiences, and having a Lego that converts into something else is amazing. You can also tell that with each Transformer set Lego is getting better at the conversion element. As much as I love the Optimus set, it’s fragile due to all the moveable parts, but Soundwave feels a lot more sturdy. I hope Lego keeps making Transformer sets!

Awesome build. I hadn't been this excited about a release since Rivendell and it didn't disappoint. Far superior to Prime from a build process and integrity standpoint. Great creativity and variety. Plus, the sound brick has far more clips than the preview/demo seemed to suggest. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Growing up watching Transformers then seeing Lego come out with this line it was a no brainer for collecting them all. Great build, details, and easy to transform from boom box to Decepticon. Highly recommend and can’t wait to see the next one, really hoping we get Megatron next or Starscream.

I’ve been a Lego enthusiast since I was 5. I’m now 54 and I wish we had products like this when I was younger. Still, I can make my nephews quite happy with gifts like this Soundwave. The build was thrilling. The final product is outstanding. Soundwave transformation is incredible. The sound effects take this product over the top. The iconic Transformers sound effect is absolutely awesome! The sounds take me back to the 80s in a supremely fun way. What a tremendous final product. I plan on buying at least three of these Soundwaves and it feels like it’s a great idea to put one away and keep it unopened. Easily 5 Stars!

This set is better than the previous Lego Transformers. The character design is a good fit for Lego. The build is pretty involved, but you end up with a great finished product. It’s the extras that set this apart though. You actually get three fully transforming characters. The brick built boombox for the display stand is adorable. The sound brick though is so amazing. The classic lines, sound effects and music is great.
