Have looked at the Weber gas grills for a long time. Was swayed in on-line reviews to consider the updated Spirit over my previous looks at the Genesis. (The Genesis cost was always a bit much for me.) Have been thoroughly impressed with the grill for the two months I've had it. Great looking and high quality. Very effective sear setting has made steaks better than ever. Quick to heat up and easy to clean. Best grill I've owned to date!

Exactly What You Need without Unnecessary Ad-Ons

Work great and seems to be very well built as you'd expect from Weber. Thought it might be a little small compared to my last grill (Kenmore) but I haven't found space to be an issue at all since using several times. Plenty of space and room to have different heat zones if you like it. So far the only aspect keeping me from giving this 5 stars is that it's difficult to get the grill "REALLY" hot. The sear zone does work as an intense heat zone but it takes quite awhile to build up temperature. Also very small nit-pick but the "sear zone" burners work counterintuitively to the High / Low ends of the control. Meaning you have to turn the knob all the way down from high to the low end and then turn it into the sear zone. Seems like an odd design choice. But small quibbles aside, this an excellent grill, feels built to last, and seems like it'll be perfect for what I need.

Pretty nice grill. Not a lot of flare ups, able to maintain desired heat fairly easy. Only downside is that it’s like everything else in the world now, expensive.

My last two Webers were much more user friendly. When I try to light burners, sometimes they light and sometimes they don’t, so I have to look under flavor bars to make sure they caught. No fun.

Overall, I’m satisfied with my new grill. However, I was disappointed that there is no propane gauge and the warming rack is very”flimsy”. This is my fourth Weber grill and the warming rack on the others were more sturdy. When cleaning it, it seems to bend. I’m thinking at some point I might have to replace it.

The finished product is excellent, with kudos for design and great even heating. Just wish you could tell more easily when it is successfully ignited; in previous models, there was a small hole you could look through to see the burning flames - not so in this unit. Also, the assembly instructions are almost all "diagrams," with very few written directions; this makes interpreting in what order and in what direction (in the placement of parts) difficult at times.
