I bought the E425 2 weeks ago to replace an old Genesis which I had rebuilt a few times. I was excited about the new sear feature. I’ve followed instructions and can get the grill up to 550-575 degrees. After 5 attempts I’ cannot get meat to sear or brown, no grill marks. Basically just baking the meat.id love to return for a higher end product.Old grill was far superior.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought the Weber Spirit E-425 propane grill as our old grill was just a cheap one to get us through for a bit. I am amazed at how great the grill is. It cooks evenly, heat is great and I am not disappointed at how great the Weber brand is. I would highly recommend a Weber grill and will purchase another one when needed.

I like the fact that each knob has its own electric starter. Cooking on it is great. We had a minor problem with the propane tank. It’s awkward for a 75 year old to put it on. Our last Weber had the tank on the outside and it was much easier. Overall, we love ‘Weber and have had several throughout the years.

First grill was returned because 1. the burners wouldn't stay lit and 2. there was no match lighter only a 2 inch chain. Second grill was good for about 2 weeks. Now the sear does not heat up to a high heat. The grill reflects it can go up to 700 degrees but it doesn't. It made it to 600 tops. 3. The match light is attached to the wrong side of the grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This unit replaced a 23 year old Genesis and it works as advertised. Grill is connected to underground propane tank. Our favorite use is making pizza for grandchildren using a pizza stone and high heat. Have also done wings and pork chops. Also cooked bacon and an omelette using a flat top accessory.
