Very good grill but needs some small improvements.

I like the igniters because they don’t require batteries and have a flame ignition. I like the sear burners and the good sear marks they make. The one easy way to improve this grill is to make a better storage for the match lighting holder, a cheap little tiny hook under the side table where the holder hangs down is very unsightly. A bigger hook for this holder should be inside the cabinet. I would also like to see a warming rack with a ceramic coating to make it easier to clean than a chromed rack.
The gas controls are mediocre (there is an igniter on each control rather than one for my last Weber. They aren’t warranted for the ten years like most of the other parts so I am expecting to incur some costs there not long after they expire (we shall see). There is no longer a weight gauge for the tank and it’s inconvenient to get out to weigh so you’d better have a full tank handy or expect a couple of ruined barbecues. It has only 1 pair of wheels, not 4 like my previous Weber, and with a full gas tank it’s a bit much to move around, especially depending on your layout and and storage point. In short, I would not recommend this barbecue and it will be my last. And honestly, I expect it won’t be too long before I replace it with something more convenient to use and better thought out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Congratulations on your new Spirit E-425! We appreciate your valuable feedback regarding the snap jet igniters, tank scale and the wheels. Our Care team is here to help and offer our assistance. Please look for an outreach email from us soon. Thank you!
The grill is pretty sturdy (sturdier than most) but still doesn't get nearly as hot as a charcoal grill will. I think the flavor bars are farther apart than on previous incarnations of the Spirit Grill. For a steak, I'll still use charcoal even over the Sear Zones.
Nice grill but I wish Weber would not keep changing their successful designs. This has a new ignition system, activated by simply turning each knob, but without an ignitor button you lose some control over the ignition process. The handle is attached differently, and the unit has only two wheels. Have to wait and see how it holds up!
