The laptop is fast and energy efficient, but a lot of the programs do not run on the ARM processor which is frustrating.

Terrible integration with Galaxy Buds 3 pro

The Galaxy Book 4 Edge is a decently made laptop. I have a lot of other Samsung products and the Book 4 Edge is horrible when it comes to connecting with the buds and some of the other integrations. If you're buying it for that, then forget about it. I would get another brand if you can save money on a similar spec laptop, because you'll have the same functionality as a non Samsung brand, even when using other Samsung devices. You can also get a better track pad with other vendors. I would only buy this brand if it's the lowest cost.

NO BACKLIT KEYS

I bought this to replace my other brand laptop which was a 2 in one 360 that broke its hinge. For around the same price I could have got that same brand that wasn't 360 but decided to try something else because of the hinge issue. This proved to be a HUGE compromise because I've given up touchscreen which at first I was ok with since I don't use the touch feature very often. After getting the unit I started looking for the key to tun on the keyboard backlight and couldn't find it. Did some research only to find it doesn't exist. I had no idea that backlit keyboards weren't standard in 2024. Also had any descriptions when comparing units on Samsung's website made mention of this that would have likely influenced my decision heavily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Often I find if you give a Ferrari to someone who only drives Honda civics their entire life, and this person refuses to learn how to properly operate this Ferrari, this person will say "it's a piece of junk" because they can't drive it properly or "it's really slow" because they burned out the clutch, or "its not comfortable" because they wore clothes from a day on the construction site, brought their supplies with them, and a piece of rebar is sticking out of the leather in the seat.
Its an awesome piece of technology. Incredibly lightweight and just a beautiful screen. Buying it for its ultraportability, long battery life, and ability to run all windows programs (you can emulate if your program doesn't run on ARM). This laptop is exactly what I was looking for.
Really important - This laptop is exactly what I was looking for based on my criteria, if you want a powerhouse that weighs 4 lbs or more, then get a powerhouse that weights 4 lbs or more.
I would recommend this to a friend!
