I just wish there was a way to change the default settings. I like my clothes on the dryer side and it’s a pain to switch everything to “more dry” every time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a lemon, or a piece of junk. This dryer has been nothing but a source of aggravation ever since I purchased it. We keep on getting this flashing “gas” error. The dryer stops 25 to 30 minutes into its cycle with gas error flashing. It does not generate any heat, everything is still wet. We had a plumber check the gas line, everything is fine—our gas stove and gas water heater have no issues. An LG tech replaced the dryer’s gas valve—same issue. My mom suffers from dementia, laundry is a necessity in our house. To get this repaired, I have to pay a plumber to disconnect the gas line from the dryer, pay someone to bring it down from its platform, once the maintenance is done, pay for the reverse process. At this point, as soon as I have the money, I’ll get a new dryer , and hope to have better luck. My last dryer lasted over 15 years before the motor gave out. Buyer beware!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this dryer and the matching LG WM4000HWA washer a couple of months ago and I've been very pleased with their performance. I upgraded from the previous LG models and find that this dryer dries clothes much faster and produces fewer wrinkles even if you forget to unload right away. For items that are very susceptible to wrinkles, I love the Steam Fresh function for touch ups. The clothes come out dry and smooth. The only problem I've had was snagging of small items in the vent openings around the lint trap. This didn't happen often but I called LG and they sent me a new lint trap that has resolved the issue thus far. Another nice feature is the LG app that sends a message to your phone when your clothes are done washing and drying. I'm very happy with both the washer and the dryer.

This dryer after the very first load, threw off error codes and the clothes did not dry properly. I would not recommend this dryer, in fact we had it returned, and they sent us a new replacement dryer.
The new dryer was even worse as it would not start at all. All the lights came on but the dryer would not work at all.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL ESPECIALLY AFTER 2 DRYERS WERE BAD.

We only dry clothes, bedding and towels in our dryer. Nothing hard or bulky like shoes, etc. During a normal dry cycle with medium load, the inner wall of the "real tempered glass" door broke off and mixed a bunch of tiny jagged sharp shards into our clothes. I stack my dryer on top of the washer with the LG stacking kit, and if I wasn't paying attention, I could have opened the door and dropped a heavy 14" diameter disc of razor sharp glass 4 ft right on top of my feet and shattered all over my home floor. It'd been 2 years since we purchased and LG originally said it's out of warranty, but this is not an acceptable level of safety to have for a product well within its expected operating lifespan. Searching online, there are many other reports of this happening

My 2 month-old LG gas dryer doesn’t heat. Instead of replacing my dryer, they say they will fix it. IT’S BRAND NEW! Do not buy an LG dryer unless you like lemons.
