Don't use the steam function!

Works great if you don't use the steam function. Quit powering on and upon researching the issue discovered that is a common problem if you use the steam function. LG refused to send out someone to repair it. Said we had to do a "hard start" which involved unplugging the dryer, which was difficult because of the location. We had to do this every month or so for about a year at which point it wouldn't start at all. Getting a repair person out is a nightmare! That is another whole story in itself!

Not drying properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this based on consumer reports and dealer/repair reports. First one would not fire up gas. Check lines for gas, ran checks and got NO GAS code. Dealer was going to repair under warranty but I told them I paid for a new dryer not a refurbished one. Took some talking to get them to replace the unit with a new one but all is good. Still a pain to get connected to ThinQ but once it connects it is great.. Like to be told when cycle is done. So far no problems, and time will tell. Took off one star because had to go thru two units to get one that worked.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have this dryer (and washer) in two houses. It has been very reliable, and good quality for the cost. Also, we needed this depth as our space was not deep. But we wanted a full size washer. This fit the bill great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Steam feature/wrinkle guard don't work. Clothes are very wrinkled when the come out of the dryer. I'm having to iron almost everything due to the wrinkles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second LG dryer. My first one lasted over 10 years with m no issues at all. So, I went back to LG this time around and couldn’t be happier. I love the AI feature that syncs the dryer to the washer to determine cycle settings. I also love the app; it reminds me when the dryer is done so my clothes don’t sit. I also feel like it’s much more accurate in how long to dry compared to my last dryer. Things dry much faster. Thanks LG! You have a loyal customer.

Cannot use the dryer until the motor is replaced. Not sure about the ETA.
