220 Vlot or !20 Volt ?
on February 3, 2025

Do I have to have 220Volt Outlet?
The spec of this Electric Dryer shows 120/208 V, 60 Hz, 23A
Can I buy Voltage converter 1209 Volt to 220 Volt and Use this Electric Dryer?
Response from lg.comBy trueLG Digital Care TeamFebruary 4, 2025
Hey there! We do not recommend using a voltage converter to operate this electric dryer. This model requires a dedicated 220-240V circuit with 30 amps, which a typical household voltage converter cannot provide. Most voltage converters are designed for low-power appliances, you can find more details on Page 22 of the Owner's Manual found here: http://spr.ly/6424xNQij. If you need help, be sure to reach us on social media @LGUSSupport. We’re happy to help! ^Jose

Conversion to LP makes dryer very loud!
on August 14, 2025
Posted by: CP17
I had to get the dryer converted from NG to LP. When the dryer comes on it is extremely loud! Sounds like a blow torch. The appliance guy told me that this is a known issue with LG dryers. I wish I had known that before I bought it. The dryer I replaced was quiet. Don't understand why LG doesn't fix this issue.
Response from lg.comBy LG Digital TeamAugust 18, 2025
Hi there. Thank you for choosing the LG DLGX4001B dryer. If your dryer sounds unusually loud after converting from natural gas to liquid propane, it may be due to an incorrect installation or adjustment. We recommend having a licensed technician verify that the LP conversion kit was properly installed and calibrated. However, we want to look into the noise in depth. Please email us your contact details at lg.sprinklrsuppport.com. We'll be happy to help find a solution for this. ^David

Controls are very poorly designed
on January 25, 2026
Posted by: veryverydissatisfied
I hate this dryer. The default cycle is "Normal" which gives you the highest temp setting, "hot", for 41 minutes. You CANNOT CHANGE THE DEFAULT CYCLE. Since I rarely dry on hot, I have to change the clunky cycle changer dial to another setting that is also full of defaults of time and temperature. If you happen to want to change the default of the time or temp of another cycle, you have to press the button on the bottom of the panel for "Timed". Only a few icons light up on the panel - most of them don't, so they are hard to see in my laundry room. There is no cycle called "Timed Cycle" which would have been useful. I've had this dryer for a year, so I can't get rid of it for several more years and that makes me mad and sad. Whoever designed this crappy dryer must have never done laundry.

This dryer is time consuming and very poor at efficiency in drying without tangling the load. I don’t recommend.
