[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really liking my new LG ThinQ dryer. Have been impressed with the job it does. I would give it 5 stars, however, getting this registered and trying to get the free extended warranty that was offered, was horrible. I had to spend three days getting transferred and put on hold and hung up on to get this appliance registered and extended warranty. Still unable to get into my account with LG and the app is worthless.

Don't buy it!

If I could rate this a 0, I would. Got A BRAND NEW one and BRAND NEW duct/coil setup and have done Everything possible to try and get this junk working. It hasn't and won't run a load without erroring out on something that isn't an issue. PLEASE listen to me when I say stay FAR away from LG Dryers. And if you don't believe me then research it yourself. So many people are having the same issues. It's the WORST purchase I've ever made..

Nice but gives error

The only thing that I don't love about the dryer is that it does not go through an entire cycle without asking to remove the lint. It always gives the same error of D80. We cleaned out the pipe before we had it installed and even had the installers come back to check the connection. Sometimes there is the tiniest bit of lint. When i saw that other people had this issue, I realized that the machine was sensitive.

Good on medium heat, but not low heat.

I'm happy with drying bedding and permanent press. The notifications to app and Amazon Alexa are nice. But I was disappointed that the only cycle that allowed setting the temperature to low was "delicate", which did not adequately dry heavier items labelled for "low heat" (hoodies, polo shirts, etc.), even when I set the dryness level to "Very Dry". I always end up having to run a second, manual timed cycle to finish drying.

Dryer works just fine

After about 1 month of usage, the dryer is working perfect. I did have some issues trying to find a good hot air exhaust pipe to fit this due to it being close to the wall and offset from the exit connection. Ended up using my old periscope pipe due to it being smaller. The original one I purchased (0 to 18") had the overhang go out too far into the path of the washer sitting to the right of it. Also the periscope I did use interfered with the steam water line hook-up so I did not connect. Only really use the dryer for drying bedding and towels. We hang our clothes on an inside line to dry due to the AC and dehumidifier doing the bulk of the drying. But it's working great.
