Ruins my towels

I bought the washer and matching dryer about a year ago, and I love them both. The problem is that one of them is destroying my towels, but I don't know witch. See attached photos. This occurs on both high quality and low quality towels. I have resorted to putting my towels in mesh bags before washing and drying, which seems to solve the problem. I could do some experimentation to determine which machine is the culprit, but I don't want to destroy more towels in the process.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased the model 4000 washer/dryer in white on May 8, 2023 and took delivery on May 15th. The array of washing/drying options is vast and the features/technology are impressive. Overall performance thus far has been fine. However, the quality control is lacking. Specifically, there is a color mismatch between the washer and dryer. While the washer itself is white and matched the floor model displayed at the retailer from whom we made our purchase, the dryer is a different story. It is not white per se, but an off-white color in appearance. And depending on the lighting conditions and angle, the dryer shows hints of beige. We firmly believe that this is a manufacturing defect. The particular dryer unit should never have passed quality control for cosmetics coming out of the manufacturing process. And the retailer should never have accepted this unit as first quality, let alone selected this unit for delivery/installation to us, or any customer for that matter. While the shopping experience itself overall was pleasant, we will be forever tainted (literally and figuratively) by what should never have slipped all the way through to our doorstep.

I was left expecting more

Misleading advertising can lead to dissatisfied customers. Don't picture your product with something that isn't included without any type of disclaimer whatsoever. On top of that the quality of construction seems to be declining in LG products. I'm getting tired of reconnecting my appliances to my wi-fi. Other than that the dryer is fairly nice, just don't picture it with a pedestal unless it actually comes with one, or AT LEAST put an asterisk (*) with a disclaimer ....

The LG Pedestal is not an accessory that is needed, This is just a suggestion for those that may have limited space or need the extra convenience in a washer. Before, We bid you a great day, We would also like to address the other issue mentioned regarding the Wi-Fi disconnecting frequently also. There are a variety of reasons why LG TV remains disconnected from Wi-Fi. Common causes include weak signals, out-of-current firmware, inaccurate date and/or time, Wi-Fi connection-blocking features, and use of the 5GHz spectrum. Hope some of this help. Error Codes Stop Dryer with No Blockage In Sight

As with others in the reviews my LG DLEX4000B stops mid-cycle and flashes either a D80, D90, or D95 error code during every single dry cycle. The "fix" is to clean your vents or undo any obstructions. Well, after buying all brand new 4" vent pipes and hood (because you cannot get any cleaner than brand new!), the error code is still appearing during every dry cycle, so now I am at a loss. I bought the machine less than a month ago! We love the equivalent washer except for the door gasket because it can become a breeding ground for mold but the performance is top notch. The dryer I should have avoided like the [insert disease here].

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have enjoyed the Dryer and Washer for about 3 weeks know. We like the ease of operation snd the steam feature on both the washer and dryer. Additionally, we enjoy the connection to the wifi and Internet. The only thing that was a bit disappointing is that the controls were hard to see because the machines were short. We then both the pedestals.

"Real tempered glass" door breaks to sharp shards

We only dry clothes, bedding and towels in our dryer. Nothing hard or bulky like shoes, etc. During a normal dry cycle with medium load, the inner wall of the "real tempered glass" door broke off and mixed a bunch of tiny jagged sharp shards into our clothes. I stack my dryer on top of the washer with the LG stacking kit, and if I wasn't paying attention, I could have opened the door and dropped a heavy 14" diameter disc of razor sharp glass 4 ft right on top of my feet and shattered all over my home floor. It'd been 2 years since we purchased and LG originally said it's out of warranty, but this is not an acceptable level of safety to have for a product well within its expected operating lifespan. Searching online, there are many other reports of this happening
