This is my second LG dryer. My original one got damaged in the Texas Big Freeze, but it served me well for many, many years! The new one is a ThinQ and I love that it holds so many clothes. It has many drying options (12!) and runs so quietly you can hardly hear it. The musical notes on completion of each load is a nice touch, and the big drawer in the base provides lots of extra storage. It was a teriffic buy and the perfect complement for me LG washer!

Have only had this for a couple of weeks now, but so far so good. We are having an issue with bigger items like sweaters/hoodies drying with the rest of the clothes so we usually take them out after a little bit and let them air dry on a hanger. Need to dive into the details a bit to figure out if it's some setting we arent using.

What should a dryer do? Dry clothes. This one does a very good job. What should an excellent dryer do? Allow easy control. Not so much. The built-in default settings are good, but I can't easily adjust them. (e.g. it insists on MORE DRY, and won't allow me to override to LESS DRY). The light inside the dryer doesn't work like a regular dryer. I expect the light to be on when the door is open and off when closed, with perhaps an override to temporarily turn on the light when the door is closed. Nope. Open the door? Nothing. You have to POWER ON the dryer. Does the light go off when you close the door and POWER OFF? Nope. The light stays on (for a while). I think the designers got too over-zealous with what they could do with the electronic control of everything.

I have had this (and the paired washer) for a month, and I am loving it so far. So many cool features, like TurboSteam! I like that I have the ability to customize cycles to such a detailed level. This also looks great and gives my laundry area a much more refined feel!
