[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Roku Indoor Camera must be pretty easy to setup and install. My 75 year old mother isn’t very technologically savvy but she set this up on her own. I’ve seen the picture quality of video recorded with the lights off and it was very clear. I would recommend.
This is a great product. I have had mine for over a month now, and love it. The picture is clear. I have the Roku camera, and the Roku smart lights. I love the products, and haven't experienced any issues since purchasing. Another great feature with the camera is I can watch the live feed on my roku tv. I can also change settings from the TV, and even use the two way audio. These would make great gifts for roku, and nonroku users. I plan on buying a few more over the holidays.
I needed an indoor camera to keep an eye on my 4 pound puppy that eats my sofa. The camera was very easy to install and with the clear picture that is available on the Roku app I can see everything going on in the room. I can talk to her and say NO or hit the alarm to get her attention and stop her bad behavior. This camera is just what I needed to save my sofa.
So 1st... I love Roku products and am a long time customer since the very first streaming device. We have a Roku TV in every room at home and several throughout our 2 businesses. I also recently bought the wired doorbell camera.
About this indoor camera... Installation was a breeze. It took all of about 10 minutes from opening the package, placing it in my desired location and connecting to wifi/Roku account. The picture quality and the detection are great. But the audio... the audio is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! This device might as well be video only. During playback, the background noise is so loud you can't make out what's being said. Then, when you're talking through the device, the people on the other side can't hear you. It barely sounds like a whisper. I'm actually keeping it but it's definitely a disappointment.
I really wanted to love this.

Hi Krissy, thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Our team is always on the lookout for new ways to improve our products and we’ll be sure to pass your comments about the camera's background noise along to our team.
However, the speaker should certainly be louder than a whisper when using two way audio. We have a few tips! First, power cycling your camera will soft reset your device and reset the connections. This can frequently resolve issues like yours. Next, temporarily move the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router. If your audio is improving, it could be indicative of a connectivity issue. Lastly, speaking too closely into your phone's mic may distorted the audio. You may try backing off to about 10-12 inches and speak in a fairly soft voice to see if this makes a difference.
As always, don't hesitate to reach out to us directly if we can be of any further assistance. Thank you! -Roku Customer Advocate
I typically don't leave reviews, but apparently this is the only way to get product support. Thr two-way conversation feature is non-functional. The volume at the camera is barely audible, and I do mean 'barely'. I tried two different phones. Also, any Internet configuration with "5G" in its name will be deemed unsupported, so if you are trying to use your phone mobile hotspot, you may need to reconfigure it with a modified name. The only difference between the outdoor camera and the indoor camera appears to be the power supply. That's quite an additional expense for a bulky, water-resistant power supply. 5 GHz is unsupported. I'm disappointed with roku. I expected better. I have 8 Merkury cameras and have not had any trouble with them.

Hi Gregory, thanks for sharing your feedback with us.
Please know that you can always reach a member of our team at support.roku.com/contactus. We're always happy to answer any questions or concerns that you might have with your new Roku Smart Home products!
Regarding your connection, you'll want to ensure that your Smart Home products are connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network rather than a 5 GHz network.
We also have a few tips that may help your two-way audio. First, power cycling your camera will soft reset your device and reset the connections. This can frequently resolve issues like yours. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this camera as a way to check on the house when I'm away and it works wonders. It is very user friendly and easy to set up. The camera quality is really nice and video is clear. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an indoor camera.
Took a long time to finally get connected to phone after an hour of trying over and over again. Does not detect Fire and smoke Alarm sounds like advertised it will detect every sound except the alarm sound.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. This sounds unusual and we'd like to help.
First, make sure that your Smoke and CO alarms are turned on (they are disabled by default and must be enabled). To do so, click on the settings gear icon in your Camera, then Alarm Settings, and toggle both to the purple "on" position.
If you are still unable to get the alarm to trigger correctly, please visit support.roku.com/contactus so we can assist you directly. In the meantime, please be sure that your mobile app OS and camera firmware are both up to date with the newest OS. Thank you! -Roku Customer Advocate
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is excellent. A very crisp clear picture. The app is easy to work and overall just great. Easy to mount and you're feeling safer in no time. My home feels much safer with this camera in it.
