So I originally wrote a review and gave it one star because it wouldn't connect to my wifi. FINALLY got it connected. Sucked to have that much trouble getting it connected.. BUT.... I really like the cameras features and how easy it is to operate now that it is connected. So, bumping to 4 stars
I personally think it would be a great camera if you didn't have to pay a subscription you guys should definitely cut off the subscription part unless it's for the home security , the camera alone is pricey enough.

Hey Nicole, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We would like to inform you that while accessing event recordings is exclusively available with a subscription, you can still enjoy many other fundamental features! For a comprehensive understanding of the features available with and without a subscription, please refer to the following article: https://www.roku.com/products/smart-home/smart-home-subscription. This will help you evaluate the advantages of having a subscription.
Thank you again for your feedback and we hope this helps! Roku Customer Advocate
I have bought 4 of these and they were relatively easy (but not a snap) to set up. Bought Micro SD Cards as recommended so I could self monitor the cameras when motion or event was detected. However, unlike other cameras I have had by other more mature security systems, you can not open and view the events that are recorded on the cards unless you pull the card, stick it into your PC and then view it. This totally defeats the ability to self monitor especially remotely. So against my best intentions, I had to purchase their monitoring subscription so I could get the notifications and then view the video recordings remotely. I wish I had not purchased the SD cards at all. As has often been said, "Read Description of Capabilities Very Carefully"!

Hello there, we apologize for the misunderstanding. Just to clarify, an SD card does not replace the Roku Smart Home subscription. The subscription allows you to record events directly to the cloud, which means you can view these events on the Roku Smart Home mobile app for up to 14 days. On the other hand, the SD card provides physical storage and serves more as a failsafe or backup that needs to be removed and connected to your computer or laptop. However, there are certain events (such as Time-lapse and Scheduled recordings) that can be viewed either in the app or via your computer. We have an article available that goes into more detail here: https://support.roku.com/article/7875140351383. We value your feedback and are eager to expand our services.
We hope this clears things up and appreciate you choosing Roku! Roku Customer Advocate
We first bought a 2 pack of the indoor se Cameras after our home was broken into. From day one we absolutely loved them. Being able to get notifications and set when to turn them on and off is great. To date we now have 7 Roku indoor camera se & 1 outdoor camera. One day while at the nail salon a gentleman was talking about how crappy his cameras are an they don't start recording until the person is out of sight and just wanted to invest in better cameras, I responded by educating him on the Roku cameras and how fantastic they are. That same man was at the salon the next month and he thanked me for informing him about Roku cameras that he'd purchased 12 of them an they are the best. Which I totally agree. So Roku team if you need a sales person Let me know. Thanks for making the best cameras we've ever had.
I've purchased 3 of these cameras. They all work great! They maintain WIFI connections without issues. The video quality is excellent. I like being able to check cameras from my phone or ROKU TVs.
Has a great video quality but the problem is it will only record for 12 seconds when it detect motion. Not very useful.

Hi there, this doesn't sound right, and we’re here to help. Each time your smart home camera detects motion or sound, it captures a video clip and saves up to 1-minute for as long as the camera is connected to power. With that being said, always ensure that the camera is securely connected to the power and internet. Try to plug the camera into a different power outlet and restart the router and modem. Ensure that the Roku Smart Home app and the camera’s firmware are up to date. If it still does not work, delete the camera from the app and re-set it up. Please follow the article for the detailed setup process: https://support.roku.com/article/7714778678679. If the issue persists, please contact us at https://support.roku.com/contactus. Bought 4 new Roku Indoor Camera SE for our home, the Package DOES NOT MENTION that you can only use these with 2.4 Wifi....I have 5G and they will not work, so a waste of time, returned them for a refund
