I've been using the roku cameras for over 2 years and was very happy with them. I have 8. Until a couple months ago. Roku decided to stop providing still images of events in an attempt to force you to buy a subscription. No warning. They still send notifications but this makes the cameras virtually useless unless you are watching live stream. Im going back to my geeni cameras. No subscription needed.
Easy to set-up and manage with excellent smart phone app. Reasonable monthly fee that you can suspend and resume as needed. They work great without the monthly too. You still get notifications and you can view your camera's live. The monthly gives you storage of the videos in the cloud. This is nice to have if you travel. The videos are not high resolution so I am not sure that they can be used as evidence. These cameras are just basically a trigger for when someone enters their view. We have them inside and outside of our home and driveway. We can speed dial the SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT if there's an intruder. So far we have been fortunate. We also have VIDEO IN PROGRESS notices on the house to warn would be thieves.
Great quality view on the camera sound is good a well . But speaking to another person though it voice sound is muffled . Other than that I really like theses cameras.
