Complete backyard monitoring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit overwhelmed with the installation and did as directed and had an electrician in my area install it (he now wants one as well). Quick tip: Roku has actually created a 'how to' video on YouTube that is simple and easy to understand if you're not like me and afraid of electrocuting yourself. The electrician had this easily installed from scratch in a relatively short period of time (I had no previously installed floodlights). I love that I can get notified while laying in bed of any activity in my backyard. I have a fairly large back yard and was surprised that the lighting has full range of the entire yard. My favorite feature? The super loud siren that can scare off trespassers. My yard is massive and not fenced in and often I get "wanderers" cutting through, making me feel as if my personal space isn't very personal. Not anymore! I like that I can dim the lights, if necessary and also to be able to set the "detection zone". This is cheaper than other alternatives for lighting/security products and with the added protection of a brand I already trust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this and the se camera for my home because we have people taking our packages. This has been a huge help. It was extremely easy to install and to connect to my phone with the app. And can connect it to your roku TV. It has amazing quality and the light is nice and bright. It gives a warning to scare off any animals or intruders. Definitely a must have with your other roku products.

Good quality floodlight/camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I changed out my regular front door light for this floodlight camera. I did that because all the action in my yard tends to be where I was able to angle the camera and as you can see, I have a large area that needs lit up. Changing it out was simple and the directions could not be easier, one tip...use the included hanger.
As you can see, the floodlights are quite bright and doing an idea job for my area, they are dimmable by the way. The sound can be loud enough where you can hear to all the way to where I was standing in the yard and the siren can be heard by my neighbors! The design is done so that every option of the unit is placed ideally, while not taking up too much space. The motion detection picks up a good distance away, so no issues with that. The camera is a nice quality and even night vision is pretty darn clear, although there is an option for color... I prefer black and white. The app is simple to use and easy to get use to. The website is slightly hard as they have too much together in my opinion. I like things without "fluffy", meaning super basic. I have had this up for a good 2 + months and it is NO coming down.

Weak Wifi reception

I've had this camera for 9 months now, The security light works well. Problem is that it keeps dropping WIFI connectivity. I have a Access point located about 20' from the camera. Signal passes through the wall to get to the camera. In either case this should not be a problem. My car which is another 20'away from the AP has good reception. Not much of a camera feature if it keeps dropping the wifi.
Overall the features are really nice, however the subscription fee is a bit much for what it offers. Others will keep recordings either by user set expiration date, or when capacity has hit a maximum. 14days isn't much. The sub should be more competitive with competing brands.

Great floodlight camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Roku Floodlight Camera SE. It is easy to set up and easy to use. I use it on my garage and I really like that is is weather-resistant. The lights come on when motion is detected and they are very bright also. They are adjustable as well if you want to change the brightness. The siren is also very handy and loud. The app is easy to use and set up. I really enjoy being able to see what’s going on outside from my phone or you can pull up the feed on your Roku TV or player. The picture is very crisp and clear as well as the sound. Overall, I feel that this floodlight camer is very well made, durable and performs well. I highly recommend it!
