is so sensitive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am having a bit of a love/hate relationship with this floodlight. I love that you can customize some things, but the one thing I want to customize, I cant find the option anywhere. This camera is so sensitive! It was raining, and my phone was going off every second because the sensor was picking it up! I have switched the sensitivity from high to low and that honestly didnt seem to help. Hopefully I can eventually figure it out! I do love that you can customize the dimness/brightness of the floodlight! The light is pretty darn bright! Setting up/connecting the camera was rather easy, but if you dont know much about electrical work, definitely reach out to an electrician! The app really helped out a lot as well, went step by step on things! Connecting to wifi, etc was a breeze as well! Quality of the camera/video is very nice, very clear pictures! The lights/camera swivels in various ways, so you can really customize how you want it/where you want it to point. All in all, we are pleased with the camera, but will be even more pleased when we figure out the sensitivity issue!

Worked Great for Half the Day of Installation…

I just installed mine earlier today and it worked great with a very nice clear video & audio, and it sent alerts like crazy for everything! About 8 hours after installing this it has lost the internet connection so I can’t see any video nor control the lights. Installation was very easy and the setup was awesome using the app. But now, I’ve got nothing going on with this camera/floodlight. I can’t recommend it right now. Hopefully it will correct itself soon!

Super easy installation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a preexisting floodlight on my back deck that was not bright and was in poor condition. I followed the included instructions as a self proclaimed DIY electrician to remove the old floodlight and hook up the Floodlight Camera from Roku. It was a breeze! As the camera is outside, I easily increased my wifi range in order to get the camera to work on my phone. The video image is crystal clear! The camera has an amazing range, I can see my entire deck and yard out into the back alley and my neighbors' yards on both sides as well. Even in the dark, I can clearly see if any one comes onto my property. I even set alerts on my phone for the Roku Camera app to notify me when a person is detected via the camera. You can also set it to send notifications when an animal or vehicle is in sight. It's easy to use and life changing.
And as for the floodlight, it's VERY bright. Illuminates our entire yard and part of our neighbors as well. It also detects any movement within a wide range, the back light automatically turns on when our neighbor comes home so they can safely walk through their yard into their home. We love it!

Peace of mind

My husband recently passed away and because we live in a very rural area I was quite nervous about living alone. The floodlight and cameras give me a sense of security.

The Roku app has a long way to go. It is not user friendly nor does it allow quick review of events. The camera on our Roku doorbell (which has very limited detection area) and captures more movement events than the one on the Roku floodlight (which has an entire 270 degree detection area). The camera on floodlight captures a lot of movement events after they are over. So most photos have nothing in them. The free subscription was a blessing. I now know it's not worth paying for.

Very bright, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a nice flood light security camera, but the set up wasn't the easiest to install since it is a wired camera. It also takes a few days to tweek all the options so you don't get too many alerts. I feel safer having a flood light camera now, but the restrictions on features (especially using the ap) that require a subscription to use all the options is really annoying. Nobody wants another monthly fee and it feels sneaky that they put that in very small print on the box. Overall, I like the security and sense of peace it gives me, but not sure how long I'll keep paying a fee to use all the features. Be aware the lights are very bright, but you can adjust the brightness to a more tolerable level.

No video, delayed motion detection, live only

I bought the flood light camera about 6 months ago. Although I was happy with it immediately after I bought it, it became a quick let down when the (free trial) video stopped working. Guess I should have done my “homework” before I bought it. Also, there’s a motion detection feature which is delayed so if there’s motion, it’s gone by the time the camera captures a shot. In other words you must watch the app in order to see what’s going on! Live! Since I have numerous Roku devices, I was super excited about the cameras but I expected much more satisfaction than I received. I only bought the one flood light to try before purchasing multiple cameras (like I planned on doing) and I would advise you to do the same. I Think I’m switching back to Geenie. They record.
