Needs more work

Bought this to replace my current video doorbell mostly because I would be able to see my front door on all my Roku TVs. Was extremely difficult to get it installed. Especially during scanning the barcode, that step needs changed. The app half of the time does not connect to the camera, which is due to the camera disconnecting to the wifi itself constantly. When you do get it connected, it takes so long that anything or anyone that was in front of it is now gone. The integration on the Roku TV is even worse. A box pops up indicating someone pressed the doorbell button. By the time you press the indicated box with your remote to the time it actually opens the app to the time the camera finally connects and gives you a picture, it is minutes and they are gone. It also doesn't stay live for long while viewing it thru the Roku TV app, so it's useless for monitoring too. Loved the concept and wanted it to work so badly. Took it down and put my old one back up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great value for the money

This video doorbell helps to solve the problem of no peephole on my front door. This caused soy installing the video doorbell, it allows us to see who or what is outside before we open the door. It makes us feel safer.

30 day warranty not enough.

Read All the reviews. 30 days not enough time for ALL the problems to show. 90 days is about right. My daughter and I spent 5 hours together trying to get ours to work right. Keeps saying won't connect to the Internet and ey else in the house is working fine about 7 other devices including 3 cell phones Can not even sign into Roku.com with our cell phones.YET we have 2 Roku Ultras working fine on TV's but the security/ camera will not work 2 days now. Save you money.

Friggin' sucks - no actual instructions

Opening QR did not work. I'm not an electrician & welikedave video does not explain wiring AT ALL. Unless you are an electrician, you're going to have hire someone to do this for. Probably not difficult but w/o ANY directions... IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

If more than 5 minutes pass before you can scan it, generate a new QR code. Confirm that the plastic protective lens film is removed from the Camera. Clean the lens using a soft cloth. I bought the door bell and 2 cameras about 3 months ago and they work great. Easy setup and an easy to use website to review your events. Was able to dial in the motion sensor and the video quality is top notch.
