The Perfect Little Video Doorbell & Chime

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Roku Video Doorbell & Chime is the perfect addition to our outdoor security system. Its great to see who is at the door without having to get up and look. The system is easy to set up and use. And, all you have to do is download the Roku app which is no big deal. The picture quality is great even at night. I like knowing this little video doorbell is now part of my home security. You can go back 14 days to review who stopped by your house. This is perfect to have during the busy delivery holiday season!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Needs more work

I have a Lorex security camera system as well as a doorbell camera. I was so excited when seeing Roku has started smart home products and the fact I can stream them on every one of my TVs. I love my Roku stream boxes and remotes. So I purchased the wired doorbell and replaced my working Lorex doorbell. Nothing but problems from this point. Couldn't get it to connect to my Wi-Fi. I have smart bulbs, several cameras and devices that connect and stay connected but this doorbell couldn't even find it. ( And the scanning of the QR code is not, in my opinion, the best way to add a device) I finally got it connected after several hours but I am not impressed by anything it does. Picture is bad, doesn't connect half the time, when someone hits the button, only a box pops up on the TV to see who is there. This process is so slow that the person is gone by the time you finally get it connected to see. It doesn't stream live for very long when you do view it, half the time it freezes and disconnects. Sadly, I don't have one thing to add that is good about this doorbell. I am so disappointed and have removed the Roku doorbell and put back up my Lorex. I hope they get better in time because the idea is fabulous if they truly worked the way they are supposed to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased a Roku doorbell after our old wired doorbell went out. Read reviews on many sites, some good, some bad. We chose the wired option so we wouldn’t have to worry about batteries. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase. We were able to get a free 6 month subscription which was an awesome surprise. You can use it without a subscription but I like the options with it.

Wired doorbell was easy to install.

The wired Roku doorbell was easy to assemble and install. The wires on the existing doorbell were long enough that I did not have to use the enclosed wiring extensions and wire caps. I had to use the wedge and am able to get a good view of the front porch area. I am pleased with the video quality and performance. The "hardest" part for me was finding the correct circuit breaker to turn off! I will probably buy a wired camera for the back of the house as well, since the doorbell and app were such an easy install.

Better than expected. I didn't know it would automatically route to our Roku TV's. Easy setup (great for us older folks). I'm gonna get one for our son for Christmas.

Great Camera Doorbell

I replaced my previous unreliable “smart” doorbell with this Roku. It was a breeze to install and set up. My family loves it. I really like that it will pop up a notification if we happen to have our tv on. Highly recommend!

The video quality is outstanding! I love the fact that I can stream live 24/7. I have been with another security camera company for years and Roku blows them out of the water. I love it so much I purchased an outdoor camera which also steams 24/7.
