Won’t Power On

Hi, I listened for the click and heard a small sound. It could not be inserted any further or more firmly. I switched electrical outlets and tried turning it on with remote and nothing happens.
Also, I’m having trouble loading the photo that I just took from my phone.

I’ve been considering purchasing this for a while and finally bit the bullet. I’ve only used it twice so time will tell whether or not it was worth the money. Right out of the box it seems super sturdy and appears to be functioning properly.
