I was excited for this set - it had such great potential. The end result was underwhelming, and surprise, surprise - pieces were missing... again. This is the 4th set in a year that has been missing pieces. If I could sent this back for a refund, I would. 3 out of the 6 minerals are nice, the remaining ones - look more like lumps of plastic that do not offer anything to the imagination. The stands are a cool idea, but poorly implemented and flimsy. Considering the price of this set - I cannot bring myself to take it apart and add the pieces to the spare Lego parts. Save your money for a better set or wait for this to go on sale.

I was really excited when I first saw this set, especially since I’m a huge fan of minerals and stones. Unfortunately, after putting it together, I was left feeling pretty let down. The finished build doesn’t resemble the stones or minerals in any recognizable way—it just misses the mark entirely.
I was hoping for something that would really reflect the unique and mesmerizing beauty of minerals, but unfortunately, this set didn’t hit the mark.

This was my first Lego build (as an adult) and I found it to be really fun! I was sad when it was over. It wasn’t overly complicated so I think it was just right for a first timer. It is also really pretty to display and catches the light really nicely.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would say this was my favorite build ever. Besides loving the subject matter, it was satisfying and I marveled at how it came together --especially the amethyst geode. Truly beautiful. I also love that it can be displayed in many different ways and placed together or separately. I wish my dad were still alive to have joined me in the build. He would have loved this since we were rock hounds and collectors when I was growing up.
