Purchased to supplement heat in my guest room. Works extremely well to take the chill out. Heats up quickly - no need to keep on continuously as the room is somewhat small. I was nervous about a space heater but chose this because I trust Dyson.

We had an old Dyson heater that lasted for years but it was time to replace it. We use it to heat a porch that doesn't have any other heating.
The new HP1 does a much better job at heating but there are two things I don't like about it that keep me from giving it a five star rating:
1. The heat function can no longer be controlled from the app or from Alexa. With our old Dyson, I had a routine that turned the heat down to 50 degrees from 10 PM - 6 am and then to 68 degrees for the rest of the day. That's not possible anymore and can only be done manually from the remote control. I don't know why this feature was removed.
2. With the old Dyson, I could simply say "Alexa, Dyson Purifier off." Now this takes three separate steps: "Alexa, Dyson skill" "Alexa Dyson Purifier off" "Alexa exit"
So the heating ability of the unit and its ability to turn 360 degrees are a big step forward compared to our old unit, but the ability to control the unit itself via Smart Home has taken a big step backwards.

It is a great machine. I am however very unhappy with the fact that I can not control the heat setting with the app. Part of the reason that I got this new one is that the old one had this feature. I spent a lot of money on a machine that has less features.

I really like the heating & cooling functionality of this unit but only gave it 3 stars because the reason I bought it in the first place was having the capability to turn the device on/off remotely. And come to find out the device will only turn on cold air through the app which does me no good in the middle of winter. In hind sight I wish I’d just gone with a cheaper machine because that was the main reason I wanted it in the first place.

I wanted a product that could do all three purify heat and cool. This was the best product that I found to where I don’t have to with it so much i.e. changing filters and such I love this product. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I bought this last month, everything works perfect, nothing to complain, recommended by my daughter. Airflow can be conveniently adjusted, as well as heating, filtration can be seen, it the air quality is good/bad, perfect for old people, no noise, can sleep good, oscillation can also be adjusted which is very important.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought it based on reviews, but after getting it home, I was disappointed in the amount of heat it put off. I also don’t like I can’t control the heat from the app. I know it’s not Dyson’s fault, but it’s a negative. It was nice to look at but ultimately didn’t put out enough air to my liking. I immediately returned it the next day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this in addition to another Dyson bought last year to help keep my room cool with having hot flashes during the winter while using the heat. I’m happy with the way it filters dust and allergens the air. It sounds like white noise which helps me sleep.
